“Excellent” Location of property is spot on. The house was lovely as well as the secure complex. Pool area and complex extremely clean and very well kept. All in all, it was first class and I highly recommend it to anyone who wishes a quiet complex within very easy reach of restaurants, beach and shopping

“Private, Peaceful + Spacious - An excellent choice for a superb holiday” This was my third time staying here (2012, 2014 previously). First time as a couple and since then with all the family (2 teenage kids\ 1 young adult). I will definitely return again. The location is great if you want to combine pool\beach days with sightseeing as you are only 5 minutes drive away from the motorway and 10 mins to the start of Los Alcazares beach. Its a very straight forward drive from San Javier airport (3 exits). Each time I have stayed, there have been improvements made, the latest of which is a new patio area in amongst the fruit trees which we really enjoyed. One of the things I absolutely love about this place is the size of the grounds - there are a number of choices of sun-lounging areas so a large group or teen\parents will not feel on top of each other. The villa boundary is a high mostly creeper clad fence with a gate that is lockable from the inside which gives a great sense of privacy. The plants and trees give a really tropical feel to the place. Louise and Mike who manage the property are very helpful and a great source of local information. We had one issue connecting to the wifi but it was dealt with swiftly by Louise\Mike. Overall, I still feel lucky to have 'discovered' this place back in 2012 after much searching.

“Vacation” Apartment was very clean and tidy and bigger than what we thought. Not far from main square and beach. The only thing I was disappointed with was about two weeks before we were due to leave there was a mention of a cleaning charge. It was not made clear to me whether I had to pay it and how much it was. I was a bit shocked when I was asked for 65 euros on arrival.

“High end - low cost” Just returned from 7 days in late april / May. Tremendous deal from Joe for what is a really comfortable and well equipped apartment. Couldn't be faulted. First stay in Roda, will be terrific when finished, at the moment what's there is high quality but the resort has an air of those polaris ghost towns of La Torre and Mar Menor. Will be fabulous one day ..... maybe. The golf club house is the only real facility on site, nice food, decent prices, expensive shop. Course is always busy with lots of four balls who can't really play to the level it demands. Expect 5 hour rounds. Tried to play on my own but gave up after 3hrs to play 11 holes. Good quality track though. Nice looking gym available but too lazy to try it. Alcazares always a joy, great restaurants, great beach. You can walk to the precinct with the bars and cafes in about 20 to 30 mins. Not a particularly nice walk, suggest you get a car, 5 mins drive and easy parking. Lovely sea front promenade , goes on for miles. So, great apartment, Mariann and Frank very helpful. Roda , mmmmmm not sure!

“Casa Maria” Casa Maria is a lovely villa in a great location. Muriel was a great host, always on hand with prompt responses to any questions before and during our stay. She was very helpful in arranging the airport transfers for us & let us stay at the villa later on our last day as we had a night flight. Muriel and Neil really have thought of everything making the villa a home from home experience. The villa was spotlessly clean & is as exactly as shown in the pictures. The pool area is literally to seconds across the way from the villa. It’s a shared pool with residents & holiday makers from the surrounding villas (only accessed with a key). The pool area is well maintained. We had the pool to ourselves on a number of occasions and never had to share it with more than 3-4 families. The only downside for us was that there are no sun loungers around the pool, only chairs. However we just used to sunbathe at the villa & hop across to the pool when we got too hot. Los Alcázares is a lovely location, still typically Spanish & not built up, which we loved. There are a few Spanish bars/restaurants within a few minutes walk from the villa which were very popular, especially with the locals. About 10 minutes from the villa you have the plaza with plenty of restaurants and bars to choose from, (although not typically Spanish). This is where most of the tourists go. We found them all to be very reasonably priced, (average €60-€80 for 4 adult meals & drinks) Our favourite were Hemingway’s, Little Sciclly and The Curry Leaf. There’s a Lidl & Aldi close by, but we just used the local supermarket which was 5 minutes around the corner from the villa, and had a bakery & fresh meat & cheese counter within it. Again very reasonably priced. The beach was lovely, with a long promenade to stroll along with a handful of beach bars. We hired 2 sunbeds for the day which was only €7 for both. Get down there early though as it does get very busy. If you are looking for a chilled holiday to relax, this is the place for you! We will definitely be back!
