“Comfortable with excellent furnishings” This is a delightful home in a pretty neighbourhood close to the port. There is some hustle and bustle (which we enjoyed) with the canoe club across the road and the various houses roundabout and the port can be a little noisy in the morning but the accommodation is really comfortable with great equipment in the kitchen and comfy sofas in the living area. It is not airconditioned but there is a pretty constant breeze off the river which comes through the jalousies and the fans work really well - we were very comfortable at all times. The house has some very attractive carved wooden features and is nicely furnished throughout. Three bedrooms, one on-suite, are all pretty comfortable, and the bathrooms work - one with a walk in shower and one with a jet tub and shower. The master bedroom bed and counters are a bit low for the average sized person but not impossibly so. There is a large shopping center about 4 to 5 minutes away by car with a good sized supermarket and also CostCo. Lihue airport is about 10 minutes away by car but we were never bothered by the air traffic. Don't be put off by the road into the neighbourhood which goes through the small port and looks a bit industrial - the area around the house is very nice. There isn't much garden/yard around the house but next door's is beautifully kept up so you don't notice the lack. One important thing, the storage, washing machine and dryer (good quality) additional bathroom etc are all on the ground/first floor and the living accommodation is upstairs on the upper floor so this is not suitable for people with difficulty going up stairs. This area is a little more rainy than closer to Poipu but it is really beautiful, with lovely hills rising behind the house.

“We would stay at Kaha Lani #311 again and again!!” My original plan was to stay at the Kapaa Shores, but after reading some of the reviews I decided that Kaha Lani might be a better choice. I'm so happy that I made the change! Kaha Lani #311 was an excellent choice! The condo was clean, nicely furnished and provided the comforts of home away from home. The patio has a nice view of the ocean. This is a great location between Lihue & Kapaa, away from the hustle & bustle of the busy towns. The bike/walk path is close by to enjoy a nice stroll along the beaches. The condo doesn't have a/C, but who needs it when you can enjoy the great ocean breeze all day??!! At night, the sound of the ocean gives you a soothing and relaxing feeling that allows you to enjoy a good night's sleep night after night. My husband and I would definitely stay here again! “Our experience was very nice, with the wonderful view, nice cond” Bernadette, house cleaner was very informative, helpful, and responsive to our requests and needs. The condo was very nice but could use a table and chairs on the Lanai. The curtains in the bedroom were broke. The location and view were the best. Best we liked the view of the ocean and least was not having a table on the Lanai to have dinner.

“views, views and views” Did I say views? Panoramic views of the shoreline and rolling waves. This is a large condo, great furniture, beautiful floors, Kitchen with everything you need. I was a little under the weather during my visit so I did not explore as much of Kauai as planned, which made staying in this lovely unit even better as I spent more time lounging around than I'd planned. Easy and close parking to the unit and the beach was just steps away. Great owners--they provided me with the name of a great massage therapist as where to go for Luxury spa treatments. Rental group was very helpful. This is the perfect peaceful place, away from the madding crowd, yet still close to everything. Car is essential. I'd go back in a heartbeat.
