“Ideal location, perfect cottage for 2 people” The location is second to none - short walk across the dunes to the world famous Luskentyre beach. The house is light, warm, comfortable and spacious for 2. We'll definitely come again! In terms of improvements - the kitchenware is somewhat lacking - next time we'll bring a decent frying pan, some scissors and a sharp knife! Would also advise that tap washers are replaced. At least one can't be fully turned off.

“Delightful cottage in perfect location.” A beautiful Sandy bay on the doorstep with others just round the corners. The view through the Windows wax better than watching telly. We enjoyed walks, bike rides and kayaking and a delicious meal at a local restaurant. Local community museums told the story of the area as well as selling home made good in their cafes. This is a real get away from it place without being too isolated.

“All you could need” This has proved to be a great choice of place to stay, the chalet has everything you could need is very comfortable and warm. A great base to explore the isle and all that it has to offer. We had a great welcome from Joan the owner of the cabin who gave us good advise regards the sights and places to see. We have never had such a chilled holiday and I can not recommend a stay in this chalet enough.

“Perfect home from home for the family” Really enjoyed our week staying in the cottage. The location is 10/10. We found the house fully equipped with everything needed for our stay. Comfortable, warm, welcoming, and the view is just superb. The location is the perfect place in Lewis to be based to explore the island and the local shop is a short drive ( 10min) is well stocked with lots of essentials. Our favourite time was sitting on the porch swing in the evening peacefully watching the trout jump out the loch for their dinner while the neighbourhood Robin sang us a song. Good phone and internet reception ( for the young ones) The only fault I could say is for some people the spiral stairs could be difficult to climb. My husband, my dog and I can’t wait to return to relax and enjoy sitting by the log fire & taking in the perfect view.

“Enjoyable stay at Eranca Cottage” We received a warm and generous welcome from the hosts when we arrived. The house is spotlessly clean, warm and well appointed. We found everything we needed for cooking and dining, the shower and jacuzzi bath were excellent and the double bed was extremely comfortable. There’s a lovely decked area leading out to a fabulous view over the Loch and distant hills. Many of the important historical sites are nearby, as is the fantastic Uig beaches and Valtos peninsula which should not be missed. I’m sure we will return one day. “Lovely week in Harris & Lewis!” Many thanks Donalda for helping to make our week in the Isles of Harris & Lewis so memorable. The upgrade to your other property Clisham Croft was perfect for us. The facilities were great and the views from the lounge were absolutely amazing! It didn't rain all the time and we even had sun occasionally... A great central location helped logistically and your shop attached to the petrol station was also very useful. A great week was had by all of us, including our friends' dog. A lovely experience and thank you very much.

“Superb” Our stay here at The ard holiday cottage was excellent. Perfect for our honeymoon to chill, relax, take in all the scenery. A beautiful cottage in a stunning location. The whirlpool bath was cool, and the aga stove burning away added a special warmth to our stay. A great welcome from Norma. It was just perfect for our stay on Great Bernera. Bosta beach just over the hill was stunning as were the Golden Eagles overhead. We will certainly be back! Cheers Donna & Alan ;0)

“fabulous place” We had a wonderful week here. The place is very comfy with all the facilities you need to enjoy your stay. Good kitchen. Making cooking easy, great games room, keeping the teens happy and the views were amazing. Being able to get right down to the water was great. We saw deer, otters and loads of birds from the house. Highly recommended.

“Bliss” Lovely accommodation, clean, modern, cosy, everything we could want. We loved the wee toiletries on arrival, a lovely extra. Great to know owners available if we needed anything. Tarbert is central for going anywhere,both Lewis or Harris.The beaches are a close drive and absolutely stunning.We will definitely go back. A gorgeous place to stay on a beautiful island. Good for the soul!

“Cosy comfortable Seascape Cottage” Loved the cottage and the tasteful decor in a nautical theme. Modern appliances, plenty dishes, cutlery, glasses etc. Comfortable beds, lots of seating and good heating. Stunning views, so peaceful and quiet but only ten minutes drive into Stornoway. Weather was so nice, we even managed to eat out at picnic table in front garden. Would love to return.
