Wonderful stay by the sea

I had chance to join my family having come from Singapore during a long Thai holiday. It was a perfect place to rest - peaceful and the Villa nice and close to the sea. The pool was great for my niece to learn to swim. We went on a trip to the Islands ( Cheb organised it and told us where to explore hidden places where no tourists go). I played golf with my brother-in-law whilst the others visited Emerald Pool and Hot Springs ( both in the same direction). Weather was great - but not my golf!! We used the outside kitchen alot but the local restaurant was very tempting and we went twice - perfect - they adjusted the spices to suit me. At night, just as we were told, the sunsets were incredible - also to my surprise the fireflies. No question I would recommend this Villa! … see more

Fantastic large apartment

This large family apartment was fantastic. The owner Gidi met us on arrival and provided great pointers for our stay. The apartment is very spacious, clean and homely. Cleaning staff serviced it daily and provided bottled drinking water. The beds were large and comfortable. There was every kitchen appliance available except a washing machine, however laundry facilities were available in shop a few doors away at a cost of 40 batt per kg; same day service. Several shops and restaurants nearby. The beaches were within walking distance. Local taxi services always available at cheap rate. The apartment is above a restaurant but this should not put anyone off as the apartment is completely soundproof. Gidi was always contactable by phone if we needed anything. Seagull Villa Leelawadee
Seagull Villa Leelawadee one of the best bungalow villas I have ever stayed at.

Having lived and traveled throughout SE Asia for 3 years, I have booked numerous hotels, villas, bungalows, resorts, etc. My overall general impression is that I have usually been over charged, over promised and the owners/managers have under delivered. I am very glad to report that Seagull Villas is the exact opposite. Heiko & Alice, the owners, have created a wonderful 3 villa complex that are exactly what you are hoping for. Each of the 3 are slightly different but all are great. I stayed with my girlfriend at Leelawade. Its a fairly new (I think about 2 - 3years old) villa (I think they are all about the same age) built with care and thought. It was very clean, bathroom and kitchen (I have a thing about dirty, grungy, unhygienic conditions) were spotless. Kitchen well equipped, Air/Con that worked well, WiFi that was better than many high end resorts, TV (with some english stations) that worked well -not that we watched much but nice to have, linens and towels, cleaning service if you need/want it, huge balconies/decks/terraces on each bungalow that are great for having a drink, a meal, or just hang out. Heiko & Alice were great, they provided us with great intro to the villa, made sure that the motorbike we rented from them (very convenient and much needed - more on that a little later) was gassed up and parked right in front of the villa, provided us with all kinds of info about bars, restaurants, beaches, activities etc. and then like a good waiter at a fine dinning restaurant slipped away and did not disturb us - but they were always just a walk away across the garden or a quick call. The pictures of the Villa are very accurate, at last a place where the pictures are a true reflection of the place. And talking about the place, Seagull Villas are about a 3 min motorbike ride off the main road, so a motorbike is a must. If you are looking for a secluded villa, with a ton of privacy, away from the tourist horde then this is the place for you. I researched many Villas/Bungalows in Ko Lanta prior to booking Seagull Villa Leelawadee, most are significantly more expensive and often do not measure up, a few others are less but they are not worth the advertised price even if they discounted by 50%, just nasty, dirty, overcrowded and underwhelming. Fantastic stay!

My family and I stayed at Sebastien's place for 10 days. We rented 3 of his houses and we spent amazing holidays! The houses are located just 2 mins from the sea, One of them has a great swimming pool. Everything usefull is provided such as microwaves, washing machine etc. We really appreciated the big house which is kids friendly as Sebastien took care to lend us a high chair, toys, and a baby cot. Sebastien also helped us so much with the activities around and day trips and we can't thank him enough! We will definitely come back ! … see more

Perfect villa for quiet holidays with nice swimiing pool

Welcome by Sebastien the owner was very good. Villa is quiet, clean with a nice flowers, trees and well maintained. One barbecue is available, and alll what you need to cook is available if needed. The swimming pool is wonderful. Sebastien knows the good person to do very good day trip on island, or kayak. He is also giving possibility to have scooters delivered directly in the house with one of his contacts. Activity we did: Rent a scooter to be able to move easily everywhere. Afternoon on Kayak with "Aa" in mangrove. Day trip on private local boat tomthe wonderful beach of the islands close to Ao Nang. Dinner at Hippies Bar with live band, fire show and perfect team.
