“We had a great stay in Doire Farm Cottages” My 20-year old daughter and I spent five nights at Doire Farm and we thoroughly enjoyed it. Anne is a warm and easy-going host, and we felt immediately welcome and comfortable in her lovely cottage. Our cottage was "Pa's Cottage" in the double-unit building. We were completely happy with it. We will fondly remember out time at Doire Farm. We enjoyed the freshly baked scones from anne, the fresh milk from her family's cows (best milk I've ever tasted), the animals at the farm (including Scruffy, the sweetest dog you could ever meet), chatting with anne, day trips to the absolutely gorgeous Beara Peninsula and Killarney National Park, and convenient shopping in the cute, nearby town of Kenmare. I can wholeheartedly recommend Doire Farm Cottages and would stay there again without hesitation! Thank you, Anne! Your place is special! Elaine

“Perfect for a relaxing, romantic Irish holiday” John's Cottage in Kenmare is a perfect retreat in the Irish countryside. We spent one week there after a week's trip through Ireland, which was a very relaxing thing to do. The nearby town of Kenmare offers many great restaurants, pubs and shops. It is perfectly situated for exploring the beautiful Ring of Beara, Ring of Kerry, Killarney National Park and the peninsulas more southwards. A rental car is useful for getting around. We just loved John's cottage: It was clean, spacious and carefully furnished. Highlights are the fireplace and jacuzzi bath, which make it a very romantic place. It's definitely great for couples. The kitchen has everything you could wish for: electric kettle, coffee maker, modern stove, microwave, toaster, dishwasher and washing machine. Anne and Patrick are great hosts. For example, we were welcomed with fresh scones waiting for us in the kitchen! They take care of their guests, provide for a comfortable atmosphere, but don't get invasive. An insider's tip is Anne's home made brown bread - if you're lucky, she might give you the recipe...! We also had fun with their dog, Scruffy. Anne and Patrick are farmers, so their guests get an authentic impression of Irish agriculture. They have thoughtfully rebuilt old farm buildings to offer old-style charm combined with modern conveniences in the three cottages. What probably says most about our opinion on John's Cottage: We would go back right away!

“Excellent place!” Staying at the cottage was one of the coolest experiences I had in Ireland! The location is fantastic and waking up to sound of sheep is really nice. It is a very short drive to town where you can find plenty of restaurants and pubs. There are also plenty of small villages to explore and the Beara Peninsula is beautiful! It is a little less touristy than the Ring of Kerry or the Dingle Peninsula which makes it the perfect getaway. I cannot recommend this place enough and I definitely plan to return!

“Fantastic in every way, idyllic remote rural location.” Can not recommend Feirm cottage highly enough. Set in an idyllic , tranquil and remote location the former O’Neil farmhouose is full of character yet has all the bits and pieces you need for a comfortable holiday. Josephine is a friendly host, and the Blackwater Tavern “the local” could also not be more welcoming (plus the Guinness was excellent). Plenty to do in the area... we might just come back one day.

“Fantastic Stay in a wonderful cottage!” I asked my 6-year old son which of the places he liked the most in our 2-week trip to Ireland. He said the first house (Cleady River cottage) because they had toys to play with! Here's the thing though, we liked this place the best too. The cottage was fantastic. So, much room to spread out. The wifi was great and the new add on living space was awesome for relaxing in the evenings. We took a nice walk into Kenmare and shopped at the local markets. We drove out to Mizen Head (you must do this!) and played at Barleycove beach. My kids were in heaven, and the beach was beautiful. More than anything, the friendly service from top to bottom was great. The communication for booking was most excellent and appreciated! If you are traveling to Ireland, do not hesitate to book this wonderful cottage!
