“Relax in the sun” We fully enjoyed our stay at the complex. The home was comfortable. The locations was perfect. Traveling with older adults, we had no stairs and plenty of room. the sandy beach was across the sidewalk, shopping and dining a short walk on the walking path to town. The grounds of the complex are fabulous for a stroll. This was our second stay at Pono Kai. We will be returning.

“Just right” Our stay at the Coconut Grove was just right. The location was central to many great beaches and activities. The neighbors were helpful and friendly. I loved that we were neighbors in a complex and not one of a hundred visitors who happened to be staying in the same vacation destination. It felt local. The only downsides were the roosters who lived next door in the grove (and one is never free of roosters on Kauai) and the lack of wireless. It existed; we just couldn't log on. I appreciated the kitchen and all the appointments (blender for smoothies!).

“Perfect spot in Kauai!” We stayed in Suite 118 for a week and found Kapaa Shores well situated on the island allowing us to go north or south easily to explore different areas. The suite is well equipped in the kitchen and the king bed was comfy. Checkin was quick and easy and the facilities were all good, used the hot tub and pool a few times, they were cleaned every morning. Enjoyed the aTV tour, surfing and be sure to try the Calamari at The Eastside restaurant up the street. A great bike path starts at Kapaa Shores and goes along the coast, takes you to several beaches, nice way to spend a few hours on a sunny day! I look forward to returning to Kauai in the future.

“Lovely view” This was a great room on 3rd floor with a lovely view of the ocean. We did email about our sheets not staying on the bed and the housekeeper changed them out for us a day later. There was a fridge, toaster oven and microwave. Handy for leftovers. Great location in Kapa'a. Remote does not work well with the TV. Have to be right in front of the sensor. Could use more photos of Kauai on the walls and a new shower curtain because of mildew. All and all a quiet room that had all that we needed. We were there for 7 days the end of april for our 4th anniversary.

“Home away from home” The service was great- any questions we had were answered promptly with friendliness and a smile. We loved the condo-it was like the title suggested. With my daughter sustaining an injury and not able to everything as planned, it was wonderful that she was comfortable enough to rest up in the condo like she would at home. Only drawback was the stairs which was not a problem at the time I had booked the condo. The condo was well suppliedwith beach equipment, ice packs and best of all, a well stocked kitchen. Nothing is better than going into an unknown kitchen and finding that you have all the equipment plus spices that is needed to cook a meal. Thank you sooo much! We love the location- it is nicely located so that we could head north or southwest easily. It was so relaxing to hear the waves crash onto the reefs in the evening. We even found a quiet little beach close to the condo that we could drive right up to the beach and my daughter could basically slide into the water without any difficulties-yahoo! We hope to return to Kauai soon and we would definitely rent the condo again if it was avaible.

“August Stay” The property is dated, but is kept very clean. Despite being located next door to a daycare facility ( you can't sleep in anyways because of the roosters!), the location is excellent. You can walk, run, or bike on the strand just in front of the property. It is an easy stroll to restaurants and shopping in Kapaa. No worries about having a Longboard or two and then driving home. It was easy to stock up on supplies with major supermarkets on the way from the airport. Speaking of the airport, it is only a 15-20 minute drive. The terrace is the best part of the house. I loved having my coffee watching the sunrise. The owners really need to invest in some better deck furniture. Also, the deck is screaming for a hammock. Please!!! My wife was not traveling with me. It was a group of guys along with my 23 year old daughter and her friend. My guess is she would not have liked the property as much. The worn carpet, rusted beach chairs, and old TV would not have met her standards. We were there to hike, dive and kayak. For our group, it was a great value. The question that you always ask: would you rent there again. The answer is absolutely yes (as long as my wife is not with me!).

“Complete relaxation.” All dealings with the managers, Greg and Sue, were first class, honest, very friendly, and very informative. 106 had everything that we needed, very clean, great location as shopping and restaurants were just across the street, and extremely quiet and safe. Anyone concerned about no air conditioning need not be, as the cool breeze off the ocean kept the unit very comfortable especially for sleeping. For ocean front or view units the rates are very reasonable from all of Garden Isle Properties locations.

“Beautiful view!” Very comfortable, beautiful view! Kitchen modern and well-equipped... You can walk everywhere. Good central island location. Grounds are lovely and well-maintained, bed comfy. Suggest remodel of the bathroom to make this unit perfect! Highly recommend Ola Massage nearby, also rent bike and enjoy the ocean path.

“A central location is key!” We loved our time on the island! What an amazing and beautiful place! Kapaa Shore Resort is also a very nice place. Not overly fancy, but had everything we needed for our stay. The washer and Dryer in the unit was a very nice bonus and allowed us to bring only a minimal amount of clothes which saved us money b/c we didn't have to check any bags, we brought only carry-ons. Downtown Kapaa is a very pleasant little town and within walking distance also nearby is a paved walking/biking path that goes up the coast and provides some wonderful views of the ocean. Also right around the corner from the resort is a bike rental shop. We loved spending one of our days with a rental bike and biking up the coastal path. The people at the resort are very friendly and we enjoyed meeting new friends and striking up conversations with other guests in the hot tub. We ended almost everyday we were there with a dip in the hot tub so that is a very nice feature of the resort! My only complaint is that the internet in our unit (which was advertised as being complementary) wasn't working properly. We choose the unit b/c of the internet access as we did have to do some work while on vacation. Garden Island properties was somewhat difficult to reach b/c they are only in the office Mon-Fri. from 9am-4pm island time. When we finally had a day where we weren't out doing fun activities around the island during those hours, and we did contact them about the internet problem they were quick to resolve it and ended up giving us a free towel exchange and a late check-out b/c of the issue. Kapaa is a great town to stay in on the island. Being roughly in the middle of the 1 road which goes around the island, it was very convenient when we went to the north shore, or to the south.

“Great comfort and wonderful location” I really enjoyed my stay. It was a last minute reservation and my check-in went very smoothly. The oceanfront view was awesone, just feet away from the beautiful blue ocean. The bed was very comfortable which is always important. A well-stocked kitchen with lots of spices was an unexpected treat. I didn't have to go out and buy every little item I needed for cooking. There were also beach towels, pool towels and chairs for my use. It had all the creature comforts that make a great vacation stay.
