Holiday houses for rent in Kailua-Kona
“We would do this all over again!” We all had great things to say about this home. It is well kept and there may be a few things that need to be updated but only minor things. It is appointed very well. When we checked into the unit we were told that the following week was unrented so we were not in a hurry to vacate on Sunday. We found out in the early afternoon that renters were coming in and we had to get out immedicately. We got out in 20 minutes but it would have been nice to know that the place was rented so there would be no inconvenience to the cleaning crew or ourselves. A little communication from the property managers would have solved this minor problem.

“It made my vacation” The turtles just out front, the spinner dolphins swimming by everyday and the accommodations, a trifecta if there ever was one! You won't want for anything. Spices for every meal, snorkel equipment for the whole family and location, location, location! Near town but not too close and only steps away from the turtles. The jacuzzi at sunset unbeatable.
“Kona vacation” Lovely, well-located place to stay. Beautifully decorated and clean. Owner friendly and helpful. My husband and I are glad we found this gem.

“A slice of paradise!” All I can say about the house was it was amazing. The location is perfect and all the amenities in the house were superbe. Waking up to the sound of the waves crashing in and the birds singing with a nice cool breeze wafting through was all that I could ask for. The only small thing that I might update was the router in the main house. It periodically would drop the wireless signal. I would highly recommend this property for anyone looking for a memorable stay in Kona.
“Excellent choice in Kailua-Kona area” If you are looking for a "party place" where you can blare music until all hours of the night, this is not the place for you. If, however, you are searching for an ideally located guest house to stay in which also offers peace, tranquility and two of the friendliest owners you'll ever meet, then this is the place you should be booking. We stayed in the Hibiscus suite which is large and has a good-sized deck out the back that offers an incredible tropical environment for dining or lounging. As stated earlier, this place is ideally situated for visiting around the island being only 2 minutes to the Belt Highway, 10 minutes from the airport and 15 minutes from downtown Kailua-Kona. We visited all of the island sites(aside from Volcano National Park and Puna) while staying at this guest house and never had long drives or heavy traffic to deal with. Anne and Nanette were both very knowledgeable and helpful, offering lots of tips/insights for things to see and do during our stay including best places to park, best places to see turtles, how to access beaches, etc. They provided our first breakfast (fruit, butter, jam, etc) and left small dishes of nuts, chocolates, etc, almost every day and provide almost any kitchen utensil/appliance you could ever need for preparing meals. One of the best decisions we made on this trip was to stay at Bears' Place Guest House and I would highly recommend it to anyone visiting the Big Island.
“A Little Slice of Heaven on Earth” This place is fabulous! Spotlessly clean and very comfortable with everything you need to enjoy your stay. Fall asleep to the sound of the ocean waves on the rocks, the breeze in the palms with the trade winds breezing through your bedroom. The little beach right in front of the cottage is perfect for some swimming and snorkeling and the turtles are right there to watch. Professional, friendly and helpful for making reservations and Tina is a joy to deal with on the property. Just a few minutes drive into Kailua Kona if you want shopping, restaurants, etc. A perfect place to make little day trips to the volcano, Kohala, etc. But far enough away and private to avoid all the "touristy" noise and crowds and just relax. All bedrooms are upstairs so probably not good for anyone with disabilities or with trouble climbing stairs. Robert and I spent a portion of our honeymoon here. We plan to visit again and bring our kids and grandbaby. You cannot go wrong with this place!
