“Fantastic Xmas break in the snow!” We arrived at the villa after calling the agent, desmond for directions to the villa from Hakuba town. We arrived to find him digging out our driveway as about 80cm of snow had fallen in 24hours :-) Once we had cleared the driveway to park he gave us a tour of the very spacious and warm villa, which is superb, very well laid out and extremely comfortable. I cannot really fault the villa at all, the bedrooms were spacious, clean and well furnished, the beds were compfortable and the kitchen was clean and well equipped (Japanese style - if your not used to this, there's no oven but hob/grill and seperate toaster grill and microwave). Desmond was very friendly and obviously knew the area very well so gave us good hints about places to go/buses to catch for skiing and local eating out etc. The heating was more than adequate with a big kerosene heater in the lounge and underfloor heating, which made the whole villa lovely and warm for us and the large entrance vestibule was perfect for getting all our ski clothing on and off. Tv/dvd and wifi all worked perfectly and the snow plough made regular passes up and down the road to keep us moving despite very heavy snowfall. Our party consisted of 4 adults and 6 children aged between 6 and 16, the villa was plenty big enough, we were very comfortable and had a fantastic time!! Desmond was a brilliant local guide and very helpful - in our rush to pack up leave, we left a coat behind and he called us to let us know and even drove out to meet us with it. All in all I can't recommend it enough!
