“everything we had hoped for” Nick was excellent to deal with, very helpful throuthout the whole booking process. The Villa is modern and well furnished.Ray the caretaker was available if needed. Situated a short stroll to Xaghra square, which has an excellent choice of restaurant. At the end of are stay we were allowed to stay over our checkout time by Marion which was very much appreciated. All of us had nothing but praise for the accommodation and would be more than happy to use it again,
“Perfect place to relax” Quiet location with cafe bar and supermarket close by. Very helpful host who met us on arrival and introduced us to the farmhouse. Phone numbers were exchanged and contact was made as needed. Spacious farmhouse provided lovely accommodation for my husband and I.
“Glorious Gozo” A wonderful family holiday with three generations in an authentic and well equipped Gozotan farmhouse with lovely pool and great views of the coast. A local restaurant with excellent food and very drinkable home made red wine two minutes walk away and a ten minute stroll to the village square with its food shops, daily fish van, church and restaurants. We hired a jeep for the week through Pauline - which was the ideal vehicle to drive around Gozo. When we took the ferry to Malta to visit Valletta we used the very efficient, and air/conditioned, local buses. Pauline and Mario live close by so available and helpful if any issues. What a great holiday!!
“Excellent apartment.” Konrad was an great host.Apartment was excellent & in a beautiful complex. We used the local bus service to get around the Island.Do not think car hire is a must.Prices on the Island are very reasonable.Would love to go back again & if I did would not have a problem with staying here. Konrad organised to have us picked up @ the Airport & brought to the Apartment.
“So relaxing !” Spent a weekend at this farmhouse and it was superb ! Besides its location, and the farmhouse in itself, what really hit is is the cleanliness of the place. Well done Jesmond and wife. Such a wonderful young couple! I highly recommend this rental because you don't need to go out once you are there. A big clean pool and a BBQ area for a lovely night! Looking forward for another weekend !
“fantastic farmhouse.” stayed at farmhouse in gharb, very peaceful .beautiful rustic building 4 lovely bedrooms ,cool courtyard to cool down from the hot sun. stunning pool and baby pool. plenty sun loungers .wi-fi in the living room all rounded off with a good well equipped kitchen.. stunning beach at ramla bay. and a lovely small town called xlendi filled with fish and steak restuarants all nestled in a secluded bay. victoria is the main shopping area only 10 mins away on the bus which is very cheap.the crossing on the ferry was also very nice from malta only 25 mins would highly recomend this property ,if you want a relaxing holiday on the gorgeous island of gozo.
“Marvelous” We had a lovely stay in our beautifull farmhouse in il Xagra. The house was beautiful and we enjoyed the in-and outside. The kids also enjoyed the good wifi.
We enjoyed everthing around gozo. We loved all the little bays. We changed out plans because of the winddirections. The wind can be huge.
We rented bikes through Aaron. They were great and we enjoyed cycling a lot. We saw almost all the little villages and beaches.
When we went to Malta one day, we were very pleased to stay on Gozo and not on Malta.
All over a great place and even though we saw everything on Gozo, we will return one day!!!
“What a beautiful farmhouse. Perfect for a quiet relaxing holiday” I have organised many holidays for a family group of 10 people over the last 12 years or so. I can honestly say this was one of the best Villas/ Farmhouses we have rented. The photos do not do it justice, as everything is beautifully decorated and in perfect order.
There is ample space for a large group (easily accomodates 10 people) and each of the 5 bedrooms are tastefully decorated. Four of the bedrooms have en-suite bathrooms (all modern, with quality fitments & showers. The ground floor bedroom has a bathroom only a few metres away, off the main lounge area, again with quality fitments & shower.
The swimming pool and garden area is ideal for sunbathing/ relaxing all day round. The sun rises and hits the far corner of the pool area early and moves through the garden as the day progresses, so there is always an area of shade if you need it. There is a gas barbeque for anyone wishing to cook on it (we did 4 times, and it was perfect).
The farmhouse is set in a quiet residential street a few hundred metres from the local supermarket where all your provisions are available (fresh meat, cheeses, fruit & veg, frozen food and almost everything you would need to eat & drink comfortably.
Approximately 300 metres down the street is the church square where you will find a number of bars, cafes/ restauarants all at a very reasonable price (typically 4-5 euros for a pizza or burger & chips type dinner).
By the ferry harbour you will find more restaurants with very good quality food (typically 20 euros per person for a 2 or 3 course meal. The bar prices are very cheap compared to the U.K. - we had 2x Henesey Branies & cokes, 2 pints of lager, 1x Malibu & coke and a Jack Daniels & coke and it was only 11 Euros !
Gozo itself is still un-spoilt and it is probably best to have a hire car to explore the lovely beaches and villages around the island, although there are taxis and buses avaiable (although we didn't use them, as we had a car).
If you are planning on visiting Gozo, then (in my opinion) you would struggle to find a better quality accomodation than Ta' Vitor Farmhouse.
The owners ( Alice Cuschieri and her husband) are very helpful and are always available if you have any questions or need help.
“One of my best holiday” We spent a one-week-holiday in this property in June. It is an old, but renovated in an authentic stlye and it's so beautiful, clean and comfortable for ten people, too. The house and the garden lokks like an oasis with the pool, the flowers and the old olive tree. Most of the time we were in the garden, at the big wooden table and we used the barbeque every evening. The house was well-equipped, we had everything what we needed. Laura and her husband took care of us through the holiday, they helped us in everything, without dísturbing us. They brought us wine and fruit from their own.
We all enjoyed every minute of staying in this charming old house, we loved it very much. We would recommend this vacation rental to everyone.
“Fabulous Villa on a Beautiful Island” My husband and I stayed at this fabulous villa during the first week of September 2016. From the moment we stepped in through the front door we were struck with its ambience and character. We understand that it is about 400 years old, and it has been restored to a very high standard – there are some photographs in the kitchen that show something of this process - clearly the villa has been a labour of love for the owners. It is extremely spacious and very well equipped – the kitchen had everything that you could possibly need, and all the rooms are tastefully and comfortably furnished. It has very good wifi and a good internet TV package.
A particular delight is the large central courtyard, which is completely enclosed and a haven for alfresco breakfasts and dining – there are also pots and tubs with flowering plants that grow all the way up the surrounding arches (I recognised Passionflower and Bougainvillea amongst others) and cheeky lizards that come and scrounge breakfast crumbs. We spent a number of evenings sitting out there with a glass of excellent local wine just chilling out, and a couple of times we grilled seafood on the BBQ and dined under the stars!
The pool is large and excellently maintained. The pool area is gated, which makes it safe for young children, and surrounded with lush plantings of beautiful flowers and trees, which make it very private. It’s a lovely place to swim and relax with plenty of sun or shade as one desires. Carmel, the pool man, came twice during the week to clean it. We found him charming, very friendly, and a great source of local knowledge.
The villa is on the edge of the village of Gharb, and it is an ideal base from which to explore the island, and there are some spectacular coastal and inland walks just minutes away – and we were told that if we came in the spring the whole area would be covered with wild flowers! There’s an excellent supermarket a short walk from the villa, and a number of restaurants also within walking distance. The owner had organised transfers from the airport, and car hire in Gozo from David – we were really glad we’d opted for this as it cut out all the hassles. We loved Gozo too – a beautiful, and magical island where the pace of life is slow, but where there is still a lot to do – we especially enjoyed Ramla and San Blas beaches, Victoria’s many cafes (The Grapes and the Jubilee were favourites), and walking round the recently restored citadel. We had a wonderful time and we’re already planning our next holiday there!
“Home away from home” We really enjoyed our stay at Ta' Majsi. Our large family of 6 (children's ages range from 11 yrs to 21 yrs) had plenty of space. The older 2 boys having their own rooms was bonus as well as each room having it's own bathroom. The indoor pool was a delight - perfect to relax and cool down. We enjoyed looking at the the beautiful views, sunrise and sunset from the rooftop. The farmhouse is clean and well looked after and well equipped. The owner is such a lovely, helpful person who made sure we were comfortable, made us feel at home and pointed us in the right direction when we needed it. The location is quiet, peaceful and beautiful with lots to see and do nearby. We hired a car and were no more than 30 mins away from any village in Gozo. The local grocer is in walking distance and there are some lovely restaurants nearby too. We will definitely visit again! Thank you.
“Fantastic stay in Gozo” Excellent service from the Xuereb family, we were greeted at the ferry terminal by Annie and taken to the il-pelikan farmhouse. from the moment we stepped in we could not fault the property there were 5 adults staying and we all had plenty of space and bathrooms to use. the kithchen and dining area were large and well stocked with all you would need for the holiday and we even recieved a welcome pack with food to get us started. the outside pool area with bbq was excellent and was where we spent most of our days the pool was an ideal size and was well maintained by Reno.
Ghajnsielem was an ideal village to stay in as it was festa week and there was plenty to see but we also hired a car to travel all around the island.
We all had a great stay and would definitely use this farmhouse again if returning to Gozo!!
