“Excellent accommodation in tranquil setting” The Grange provides well-equpped and spacious accommodation for a family group in the delightful setting of Clere du Bois. There is plenty to do on site, but it is also convenient for visiting many of the Chateaux in this part of the Loire or the Brenne National Park. The hosts could not have been more helpful, making us a reservation at a local restaurant and offering advice whenever requested. A brilliant place to holiday!

“Wonderfully relaxing place to stay.” The gite was wonderful, beautifully clean and very comfortable. The fixtures, fittings and furniture were all of high quality. The garden (and its furniture!) was fabulous. The weather was good for the first 3/4 days but then, sadly, deteriorated (in common with the rest of Western Europe, so it would seem). However we made full use of the garden room enjoying the view, the flowers and watching birds till late in the evening! A really relaxing week and no real need to use the car. All necessities of life (food and wine) easily obtainable on foot in La Chatre, Should we venture into central France again we will be looking to book another stay at La Maison Rose!

“A haven of peace” We spent a glorious week in la laiterie in the idyllic surroundings of La Vieille Ferme. Angela and Derek were wonderful hosts and were on hand for advice and any problems. However, the gite was well equipped and spotlessly clean. We will be returning.

“Could not have been better!” We were only staying for one night on our journey down to the Dordogne from our home near Bedford but the welcome that we received from two delightful owners - Marie & Tony - could not have been bettered. They obviosly have an honest and genuine interest in looking after their guests and gain great satisfaction in seeing their every need satisfied. We left with homemade pies and jams which were simply the best that we have ever had. Our great dane and minature yorkie (little & large - guess who's the boss!) had a wonderful time in the private garden. No hesitation in recommending this gite - 5 stars!
