“Great Family Reunion” Our family reunion included 8 adults, 6 kids ages 12-16, and a 3 year old princess. The house was perfectly designed. The kids and two sets of parents occupied the pool level with the 5 bedrooms & 5 in-room bathrooms, media room, laundry room, sitting room, & powder room. Grandma & Grandpa and parents with toddler stayed in the two rooms on the main floor. The beautiful Great Room and very large dining room table easily accommodated all of us. Every window had great views. Kitchen, Great Room, & Master patio had lovely ocean views. Another laundry room on this level with a wonderful little ice maker kept all drinks full of cubes. (Directions are in drawer below ice maker.) Elevator was a nice convenience. The very short & level boardwalk to the beach made it easy to set up our EZ Pop-Up and carry chairs & coolers. The 3rd floor patio offered great views of beach & fireworks. The beach on the evening of July 4th was one big party! The kids loved the freedom of biking to Coligny to buy Italian ice & frozen custard at Rita's and souvenirs at the Shell Shop & other fun shops. Everyone at Beachside Getaway was extremely responsive and terrific to work with. Forest Beach Bikes was great. A word of caution-LOCK YOUR BIKE! One of our unlocked bikes was stolen when parked near Frosty Frog--another highly frequented establishment. The house and beach were so comfortable that no one wanted to go anyplace else. The golfers in the group didn't even want to golf. We did go to South Beach once so the kids could tie-die Salty Dog T-shirts. We cooked every meal in the well-stocked kitchen or used the gas grill. The only problem was the hot tub. It kept blowing a fuse so it never got hot. Maintenance tried to fix it to no avail. But everything else was so enjoyable that the hot tub not working was not a big deal. This is our 2nd reunion in Hilton Head. (We hail from Texas, Georgia, & Florida.) Our first house was great but this house was better. Our group will only stay in the North Forest Beach neighborhood.

“Great Vacation Rental in Hilton Head” We just spent 2 weeks at Mimi's Place, a wonderful home on the beach with easy access to golf, water sports, shopping and dining. With a range of ages (4 years to 72) we thought this place was perfect for us. Ping pong table, huge dining table, great pool and hot tub and location (just steps from the beach) make this a house we will definitely come back to. Booking was easy and Beachside Getaways was able to help us with bike rentals and is very knowledgeable about the area activities available.

“location” House is located for best access possible; shopping and the beach. Laid out well. Having been here for the past three years now, the house needs some upgrading both in fixtures: leaks and the frig has damaged shelving. Upon our arrival a cabinet door hinge came off. The plants and the fact the leaves are never racked up and carried off around the pool make it impossible to keep the pool clean. In our case the pool was cleaned and almost immediately a storm came and you could almost walk on the debris, some large in the pool. Needs upgrading and modernizing some.

“Close to everything that makes Hilton Head great” The house is in a great location, close to the beach, a short walk to Coligny Plaza, and a short drive to all the great golf courses. The house itself seemed recently updated, with a great kitchen, three bedrooms on the main floor, and a fourth bedroom on the ground level that's perfect if someone wants a bit of peace and quiet. Terrific back deck with a BBQ made dinners awesome.

“Perfect House” great family vacation home, well equipped, uptodate fixtures and equipment, although not on the beach, close enough to hear, and the heated pool was a far better place to swim in December - owner is great in making sure kitchen is well sorted and was want for nothing - a new jacuzzi is likely on the way but even the old one sufficed - bike rentals a must, and regular rides to Coligny Plaza ensured at least some excercise

“Perfect house for a family beach vacation!"” After locating a property through VRBO, the management company, Beachside Getaway, efficiently handled all the details of securing the property. Communication was clear, direct , and timely. Their cheerfulness through all communication was appreciated. The property was just as described. It was close to the beach with no streets to cross. Bike trail access was also close-by. We prepared most of our meals at the house in a sufficiently equipped kitchen. The pool was a nice size and well utilized by the children. The only thing our family would recommend adding would be a wagon for taking items to the beach and maybe an umbrella for renters to utilize at the beach. We had three generations with us with children ages 2-7 yrs.
