“Most wonderful local vacation rental I've stayed in.” When I first entered the house my feelings were like "Wow, this is so nice.". When Bev started telling us about everything we needed to know about the house and it's contents, I just knew we were in the right place. She has everything you need. All you need is your body and groceries to have a wonderful time. Bev leaves you to enjoy your stay. Oh, the drive up was so nice because one of the things I like most is looking at houses.

“The best place to stay” We stayed in this awesome rainforest cabin for our honeymoon. The owners are gracious and totally accommodating. The grounds are clean & in excellent shape! The cabin is beautiful! The ambiance is more than we expected and we would stay there again anytime and recommend it to anyone! Easy access yet you feel like you're in a jungle!

“just what we were looking for” Our (family of 3) stay at this condo was great. It had everything we needed and fit our budget. It was very clean, comfortable and close to beaches, shopping and surfboard rentals. The bus is also close and affordable. The neighbours and manager were friendly to us and the owners were easy to reach when we had a question. We'll be back to maui in 2014 and would rent this condo if it's available.

“Exceptional home away from home!” Just as described, the kihei oasis is an excellent vacation rental. The layout of the home, furnitionings and it's convenient surroundings, I would definitely recommend staying here. The jacuzzi was a hit, but the real bonus was the little amenities that you don't really think of until you need it. I opened the kitchen cabinets and found foil, oil, shoyu sauce and lots of helpful seasonings. The bathroom cabinets also had additional body wash, shampoo, lotion and for kids too. Although we brought our own amenities, I'm glad you have them available especially for large families. Also a garage wall dedicated to fun in the sun activities, boardgames and so much more. Mahalo to the Morts ohana for providing such a lovely home away from home, We definitely enjoyed ourselves!

“Outstanding Home, Would Stay Here again” This rental is better than described. The pictures don't do it justice. Our stay was comfortable and fantastic!!! The view was gorgeous! The house is clean, well equipped with all the comforts home. Michele and Ron have thought of everything! The house is walking distance to the beach and an easy drive to other local beaches, dining, local shopping and more.

“Best Vacation Ever” This was an amazing vacation from the very start. Even before we left I was able to speak with Ning about the home and the area. She had some great suggestions about different activities and restaurants. The home was fantastic. It was way more room than we needed with 5 bedrooms, a large kitchen and spacious living room. The highlight of the home for us was the wrap-around lanai. I was nice to just sit outside and relax in the bright sun and refreshing trade winds. The amenities in the home were also outstanding. “A Vacation Experience to Remember” Our stay experience at this incredible Honua Kai penthouse complex exceeded our expectation. We are a family of seven and this home served our sleep needs, dining, and comfort needs, in a clean and stylish decor. The lanai was spacious with doors that opened to all three sides of the complex, we ate all our meals outside on the spaciously accomodating patio table. The large home provided alcoves of private space for relaxation and rest. For the most part, the kitchen was perfect. We would suggest servicing of the dishwasher, the sensor light was not functioning. In addition, be certain to have the refrigerator/freezer turned on in sufficient time to house your purchased groceries. Cooking amenities are provided. However, it would have been great to have a rice cooker included. One of the highlights of this location is the easy access to the beach and on the premise pools. We personally enjoyed walking out to the local beach and definitely utilized the beach amenities provided by the homeowner. This is definitely a vacation we will remember for a lifetime. We have already shared this hidden secret accommodation with family and friends!

“Delightful stay for family of 5” Staying here was a wonderful experience we had from start to finish. The rental arrangements went smoothly and when we arrived Barb and Walt met us at the lobby and made us feel at home right away. Barb answered all of our questions and gave us some good ideas for our stay. She was so helpful and attentive - she is on site most of the time - so if you need anything she is just a phone call away. I just can't say enough wonderful things about Barb and Walt - they really made us feel like family - not just renters! The condo exceeded our expectations. The size is perfect for a family of five and less expensive than renting a 2 bedroom. Don't worry about it not being an ocean view because the view from the condo is incredible. There is a large lanai with a view of a waterfall, beautiful grounds, and sweeping mountains in the background. Each morning you can watch the sunrise over the mountains...what a treat! The condo has everything you need - we cooked a lot of our meals there and I was impressed at how well the kitchen was stocked. They also have beach supplies - sand toys, chairs, boogie boards and floaties for the pool. The resort is so lush and beautiful with pools and hot tubs winding throughout integrated with waterfalls and amazing plants and trees. Having Dukes on the property is a nice treat too - we loved the 'Aloha Hour' from 3-5pm with great drink and appetizer (pupu) specials! The location is great - the beach has a nice reef area that you can snorkel right there. The kids did plenty of swimming and boogie boarding on the beach there too. We had a wonderful time and will hopefully be returning soon & recommending renting from Barb & Walt to our friends! Mahalo!!

“Paradise !!” We spend 10 amazing days in paradise, Barb's is so warm and friendly, greeted us with a welcoming smile.. the condo is breathtaking! “Absolute pleasure to stay at.” The owners are very gracious hosts and have provided an awesome studio to stay in. they have thought of everything to make your stay pleasant and relaxing. It is quiet and yet a short walk to a great sand beach. Easy to get to and from, close to everything and yet far enough away to feel like you belong there. Wouldn't hesitate to go back again and again.

“I will be coming back again!!” This is a great house for a family or romantic getaway. It is clean, spacious, and had all of the amenities of home. After a long day of activities it was nice to just sit on the lanai and relax while the children were playing in the game room. It was perfect for our family. I highly recommend this property. “Beautiful accommodation. Laid back feel.” Our accommodations were beautiful, clean and exactly what we were looking for. The location is fantastic and we were only a few minutes from Kailua and Lanikai beaches, as well as a very short walk to downtown Kailua. Sabine and Ray are excellent hosts. Upon our arrival, we had time to settle in and relax; we even found a small fruit plate to welcome us. Later, Sabine stopped by to greet us, answer any questions we may have had, and offered recommendations on restaurants and activities in the area; Sabine even made certain to give us directions to nearby locations. This was our first trip to Hawaii, and we had a great trip. We look forward to staying here again.

“Excellent Value for an authentic Hawaii Experience!” My cousin and I stayed in Hale Kawehi for two nights. Our host could not have been more warm and welcoming. Kawehi made it clear she was available to answer any of our questions or provide advice; otherwise we had total privacy. Juice, milk, bagels, and eggs were left in the refrigerator each morning. The house is very spacious, with lots of rooms to explore. It is filled with antique treasures and unique, one-of-a-kind objects. The outside garden area is enchanting. There are also several outdoor seating areas; all lovely. Mr. Princess is the most friendly and loving cat I've ever met. He was a pleasure to have around outside. I had two issues which I feel the need to share. First, the local coqui frogs are quite noisy at night. I was fine because I had earplugs, but you should be aware of this ahead of time. Second, there was an odor of cat inside, although guests are asked not to let Mr. Princess in the house. Since we mainly slept there, it wasn't an issue. It might be, though, if you plan to spend a lot of time inside the house. All in all, my experience was positive and I'm very glad I stayed here.

“This "Cabin" (beautiful home) and hosts were the best.” The "Cabin" is incredible and exceeded our expectations. Our hosts, Chris and his wife Carol were friendly and made our stay at the "Cabin" a great experience. The "Cabin" was clean and put us in a total state of relaxation on the first day. The attention to detail in the craftsmanship of this home was perfection. The location on the North end of the island is perfect. Hawi town is just 2 miles away with galleries/shops and many places to eat. You're also only 30 minutes away from the best beaches in Hawaii. Having stayed in previous trips in resort condo's, I can honestly say that the "Cabin" was by far our best experience.

“Memorable!” Our visit to the north shore of Oahu was incredible. We discovered, a nice house for our 7 day stay in Hale Malaekahana. Our first visit to the beautiful north shore was everything we imagined about Hawaii. The renters were very gracious about allowing us to use their home for our vacation. Only a few feet from the beach to swim and we got up early to enjoy the sunrise with a nice cup of coffee and a walk on the beach. If we had known there was a walking path on the highway, we would have brought our running shoes along. The locals were friendly and everyone we met were helpful on places to shop and eat. Our next visit to Oahu, will be only on the northshore and using trip advisor. That's how we found our place in Hale Malaekahana.
