“Stunning location, great views, many modcons and adequate comfort” A quiet farmhouse with stunning views. Househas plenty of space and many "boys toys". Kitchen is perfectly acceptable with the ability to cook well. Local area pleasent and unspoilt with little feeling of being too touristy. Good restaurants locally but beware of Monday closing. I believe Graham is upgrading the basics at present and these should increase the comfort considerably. Lots of beds, bathrooms and towels. We were too early to use the pool but the setting is peacefula dn provides a good base for may types of holiday.
“Perfect family holiday venue” This was our third visit to ‘Au Ballenti’ - we do like it here. The weather wasn’t quite as kind as the previous two visits, but on the one stormy day the house was big enough for all of us to play pool, snooker, darts etc whilst waiting for the sun to shine again.
The rest of the time we either lazed by the wonderful pool or visited wine festivals and Armagnac tastings. The new owners at the restaurant round the corner were welcoming and provided special meals for the children (the official menu was amazing too). As we left our 8 year old granddaughter asked if her cousins would be coming next time we stay - says it all!
“Almost Heaven” Everything was great about the house-nicely stocked kitchen for cooking and house was very clean! Great location for cyclists as well as hikers. Also, great base for taking day trips to other areas of interest. My only negative is no cable television and wi-fi was very spotty-had to go outside to access internet. Owners on premises were very accommodating and eager to help with reservations, sightseeing, etc.
