“Ended on low note due to cleanup rules” It is a nice enough place but we did not expect to have to clean up after ourselves to this extent. Unload the dishwasher ??? Pull used sheets from the bed ??? And pay through the nose for cleaning charges ??? Did not add up. Too bad that is what we fretted over and the end of our otherwise pleasant stay. Nice neighborhood. Good hot tub. Small bathroom.

“Family Friendy Rental” Great place for our family of 5, plenty of room for all. House is well stocked from the kitchen to linens, with plenty games, puzzles, music and outdoor toys.Easy river access. Never needed to turn on TV. Would rent this place again.

“Loved it!” The house was awesome & meant for visiting & partying! The top has all the bedrooms, a great place to gather and eat, a big balcony to relax & bbq on. It's all very clean! The bottom of the house is meant for fun & partying because it has a bar, pool, foosball, tv, etc and its huge. The rooms are all a decent size w/ bathrooms. The backyard is huge with great shady trees. The rental comes with kayaks & tubes to float down the river. Hot tub is a plus. The riverfront is great, but a bit on a decline. It is literally right next to a bar, which is fun, but the only drawback is that your "private" waterfront area is where all the guests at the bar want to leave their canoes/kayaks & trail through your backyard & get to the bar. Not a huge deal, but it gets obnoxious at times. All in all, it's great for multiple families or a boozy friend getaway. Cheers.

“Glorious Relaxation - Beautiful Home” We stayed here over Memorial Day weekend 2011. We had considered staying down the road at the Guerneville Lodge. A few our friends did stay there with one renting a room and the others camping on the lawn. We opted for renting this house since we had some little ones, and boy were we glad we did! The weather was dodgy that weekend - rained off and on so having a nice warm place to stay (with tons of covered outdoor space) and a really nice gas fired pot belly stove in the living room and cable TV really provided all that we needed. While our friends had to deal with the noise of the lodge and the mud and wet grass on the lawn,we had had warm, dry, luxury and comfort. Totally recommend River Dream

“Awesome Place!” Our family booked the two homes for our family reunion and had a fabulous time. Each family loved having their own bedroom and essentially their own bathroom. The kids loved having the two basement level playrooms and divided up their time between them. The backyard was an awesome place to play capture the flag, and the access to the river was amazing. This location was one of our favorite family reunion places!

“Thanksgiving Get-Away” The owner's of this home pay attention to detail! The kitchen was well-stocked with everything we needed to put on a Thanksgiving meal. The home was spotless and tastefully decorated. We loved this place and the special touches the owner's have added throughout.

“January Visit” We had not previously stayed on the river. Idle Hours would be fabulous summer get-away for those with children - big house, very large backyard and a dock on the river.

“Wonderful getaway cottage in a charming town!” I rented this cottage during New Years 2012/2013 and really enjoyed it. It's in a nice area, with a jacuzzi, surrounded by redwoods. I like that you can bring dogs. The rental company was very organized. The town of guerneville is very charming, I had never been there before. The house is in walking distance to the town, so you can go to bars, etc. and walk back home. Overall, I enjoyed my experience very much and was pleased with the house and it's affordability. The only small things that were less than ideal were that one of the rooms is detached from the main house and doesn't have a bathroom, so if you have to go to the bathroom in the middle of the night you have to go outside to get to the main house. It's just steps from the main house, but if it's winter and the middle of the night, it can be a little disorienting. The detached room can get a little cold in the winter, but they provide a small, but powerful space heater. The walk into town takes about 5-10 minutes, but be sure to walk with a group because the bridge over the river into town is a little sketchy at night, there's a few homeless people camped out there.

“Relaxing getaway” I've rented many places in guerneville and this is one of my favs.! For a 2 bedroom 1 bath place, it doesn't feel small at all. It has big picture windows with great natural light looking out at all the beautiful redwoods, and the deck...Love it!! I have to say, this is the cleanest, tidiest places we have ever rented! The only negatives for us were, the decor is very stark and not so "homey" and the spot light lighting in the bedrooms was less than comfortable. Other than those 2 things I give this place a solid a. I will certainly go back!

“Lovely!” This home was wonderful! My family and I went up to the Russian River for a week over summer as we do every year. This home was absolutely beautiful! The sun was always out on the deck in the morning and afternoon, which was very nice. The only problem was there was only 1 tv. There needs to be more than just 1, that seems cheap and unreasonable considering the home is for 8 people maximum. There's only 1 narrow road to get to the home, which was a pain at night, but manageable. The river access was really nice and it wasn't as hazardous as some of the homes we've stayed at in the past. It was close to town, which was great and near all the great restaurants too. So just more Tv's and an extra bed couldn't hurt, because having to sleep on the couch throughout your entire stay is awful. Overall, it was a very nice home and my family and I had a lovely stay.

“Awesome!” This rental is so awesome, we've rented it for next year, as well. The home itself is clean and well-maintained...very comfortable for 6 people. The fact that you're on top of a hill, with hawks flying eye level with you, and not another soul to be heard...amazing. We're definitely looking forward to our summer vacation next year!
