We are sorry to hear that you didn’t enjoy your stay.
We would like to point out it is an apartment and not a cottage, just in case anyone reads the description and arrives expecting a cottage.
The entrance door had a loose screw in the hinge which was easily tightened and is now opening freely.
The bathroom WC has a pump for the drainage. The toilet flush is louder than a normal toilet flush but we feel isn’t on the extreme side. We have not previously had any comments or complaints on the pump noise.
The backing up of the shower water we assume was due to some small blockage i.e hair in the shower outlet. The plug and filter is cleaned after each guest departure.
You only let us know about the bed on your check out, so we didn’t get chance to help with the issue. We are sorry you found the matress uncomfortable. Again, we haven’t previously had any reported problems with the bed.
Finally, all appliances are listed in amenities tab on the website. The Kitchen is equipped with cutlery, small and large plates, bowls, glasses and cups, wine glasses, wine and bottle openers, there are pots and pans, colander, sugar, tea, coffee, salt and pepper are also available. Washing up liquid and kitchen towels are in place. There is a cooker and microwave and small fridge. An iron and ironing board are provided. There is no freezer or washing machine but it is clear if you look into amenities section. If there was something in particular you required i.e. use of a washing machine, we would have gladly helped out.
There is a lovely view of the bay from the front garden / patio that you can enjoy while sitting outside and windows in the apartment allow a partial view as well. We dont feel the small tree in the garden ruins the view as it is only small and it provides a level of privacy from the road.
We are disappointed with such a low rating given that you never raised any issues while staying with us.
We put a lot of effort to keep the apartment in high standard and we are always willing to help with any issues should we be informed of anything.

Thank you for your supportive review. Cartmel is a great place for pubs and eating, as is Allithwaite, both short car journey or within walking distance. A trip on the train (one stop) to Arnside, where there are two pubs and fish & chips is well worth it. I am working on a website to inform guests more - so watch this space!
