“Great Villa” The Villa itself is fantastic. It is recently renovated and the interior is excellent - fully equiped kitchen, great showers, and bathrooms. The people who "hand over the key" are friendly, and very easy to deal with. The Kinny's were very friendly and flexible, and were very helpful when booking. The actual booking process was a little complex - I think mostly because the Kinny's were travelling and they did not always see their e-mails quickly - but this was easily overcome by a quick phone call. The location of the Villa was lovely, being at the bottom of the Ballon d'Alsace, however if you are planning to drive to other locations on a daily basis, it can add 20 minutes in travel time (each way). The only other point is that as the picture shows this villa is ideally located - on the bend of a river - but it has no privacy in the backyard, as it is surrounded by the rest of the village. In general though, the Villa is well set-up, well equiped, and the people were very open and friendly.

“Perfect location to get away from it all and enjoy the good Fren” We've had a wonderful and relaxing week in the Hunting Lodge. The gite is very comfortable and cozy, we especially enjoyed the big fire place. The estate is beautiful and Mr Landman and Madame Noel were very friendly and helpful. We were lucky enough to enjoy some sunny afternoons with French wines and cheese on the terrace. There are a lot to of varied things to do in the surrounding area. From long walks in the beautiful nature, to the battlefields of Verdun and champagne tasting in Reims. The location is perfect. We would absolutely recommend the gite to everyone who would like to get away from it all and enjoy the good French life.

“Great family holiday” Our family (2 adults, 2 children, 1 baby) stayed for a week in June 2011. The lodge was beautifully decorated and spotlessly clean, equipped with everything you could need for a family break. The pool, table tennis and bikes were a great hit. Mr and Mrs Landman and housekeeper were charming and very helpful. The village is very quiet - great for walking and cycling and our children went pony riding at the local farm. Lots of foodie places nearby and a very good restaurant in the next village. Many places to visit - Champagne route/Epernay, Verdun and many war sites - visiting the Butte de Vauquois is very moving. It's a special place and we would thoroughly recommend staying here.
