“Absolutely amazing” We throughly enjoyed our stay at this gorgeous lodge. From great communication from the hosts before our stay, to arriving to a gorgeous, clean, cosy lodge in amazing settings our stay was Perfect. Lodge is in a great location with lots of local attractions near by including a walk in the forest on the doorstep. All linen and towels included and bedrooms and bathroom are very comfortable and just like a home from home. Myself, my partner our two year old daughter and our friends have already said we want to book straight up again for another trip next year

“A brilliant stay” Amazing and relaxing place to stay. Great welcome and accommodating owners throughout stay. Very child friendly. Cottage very clean and comfortable, suited our needs exactly. Wonderful views. Lots of freedom for the children who enjoyed seeing all the animals on the farm - pigs, horses, dogs, chicken and ducks. Great hot tub to enjoy after cycling and walking. Cottage centrally based for all the attractions in the Forest of Dean. Would highly recommend.

“Loved it!” Just come back from a long weekend stay in the Squirrel! The lodge itself is luxurious with all its modern finishings. It has underfloor heating which meant even in oct/nov weather it was always lovely and warm. The hot tub was perfect to relax in at the end of an activity packed day! The lodge is right next to some forest trails , and close to lots of activities within a few mins drive (clearwell caves, puzzlewood etc). All of the extra details really made the weekend special. I can't wait to book again!

“first class” Booking was easy and response fast. Woodland barn was very good, very well presented and clean. The views where to die for overlooking the valley and river seven. Plenty to do in the local area and lots of walks. I would recommend the woodland barn to anyone.

“Bliss at Badger's End” Another lovely stay at Badger's End Cottage, nothing is too much trouble for the owners who are extremely accommodating. The cottage is beautifully kept and in a great location for exploring the Forest of Dean and surrounding area. We will be back for our third stay.

“A little slice of paradise in the Forest of Dean.” The Stables is a beautiful cottage surrounded by the stunning countryside of the Forest of Dean. Mandy and David could not have been more welcoming and made us feel very at home. The Stables has been finished to a very high standard with many personal touches that made all the difference to our stay. Having the hot tub was a real bonus and fantastic to use in all weather conditions - our children spent most of the weekend in it! If you want a weekend of peace and tranquillity this is the place to go - you won't want to go home!

“Super relaxing and extremely pretty” My boyfriend and I had a wonderful time away for his birthday weekend. The cottage is really nicely done, we loved the bed area and the balcony and the spa bath is a real treat after a long day. The hosts were wonderful, we ordered dinner for when we got there which was delicious and they provided us with lots of information about nice pubs and places to visit. We will be returning!

“Perfect location for a relaxing break!” Lovely welcome (and cake !) from Michelle, and lots of useful information about Silhouette Cottage and local area. The cottage is very comfortable and everything you might need is provided. The property is full of character, modernised very sympathetically and is both homely and pristine. The garden is beautiful, enhanced by the view of a lovely field of well behaved sheep next door! As if all this were not enough, The White Horse pub is just a stones throw away. It is characterful, quirky and friendly. It also serves the best food we have eaten for a long time ( very reasonably priced). We also enjoyed cooking in Michelle's well equipped kitchen and eating in her lovely conservatory, though our efforts didn't quite come up to the standards of the chef at the White Horse! The cottage is conveniently situated for food shopping 5 minutes drive into Coleford. There's loads of potential for days out using Silhouette cottage as a base, or just mooching about aimlessly in the stunning countryside. We had a very enjoyable holiday and would recommend Silhouette Cottage to anyone. Thanks, Michelle

“Excellent house, excellent location” Beautiful Georgian house, very comfortable, clean, well equipped and as we stayed over Christmas the house was seasonally decorated, complete with a Christmas tree. Not only that but the owner, Andrew, left a welcome pack of wine, mince pies, marmalade and chocolates. If that wasn’t enough, he was at the house with a lovely and much appreciated hot drink on our arrival too! A home from home. The house is in the market place of a small town but has enough amenities to cater for all needs. We hope to return at some point. Many thanks go to Andrew.
