“Saved a lot of money on food thanks to the fantastic kitchen!” Saved a lot of money on food thanks to the fantastic kitchen, and the direct connection to our train station and the airport made our travels stress-free.
Thoughtful and cheerful hosts with "local" recommendations which we put to great use. We hope to come back :)
“charming, friendly and fascinating” We loved Carcasonne and our stay at Le studio was an absolute delight. Michele and Rowland are the most gracious hosts you would want to find anywhere. They are fascinating and have lived such interesting international lives. The garden is a delight and you can even see the walled city. We have stayed twice and would love to go back. This is a perfect holiday spot or retreat for a writer. It is quiet and lovely walks around the little village and the canal do Midi.
Writing about it now makes me want to be there. Thanks Rowland and Michele for making life brighter

“Perfect location with loads to do.” The location of this property is perfect for exploring the locality. Narbonne and Beziers are within easy reach, as are their beaches. Surrounded by vineyards, the bicycles provided were a real asset as we were able to leave the car in Olonzac. Minerve is a delight and the Lac de Jouarres provides a place to relax only a short distance away.Equally the Canal du midi provides another lovely cycling/boating opportunity with plenty of shade.Olonzac itself has many attributes, with plenty of restaurants and a large supermarket only a short walk away.
The property itself is very comfortable and provides all the necessary home comforts including a generous shower and very comfortable bed.
Checking in and out was relaxed and efficient with no problems at all.
We would love to return to Olonzac in the future and would thoroughly recommend it to anybody contemplating the idea.
“A DELIGHTFUL SETTING FOR AN EXTRAORDINARY EXPERIENCE” We found this beautifully maintained house, modern but in the French style, quiet yet perfectly situated for travel though South West France. We visited Carcasonne,Toulouse, Narbonne, Andorra, the Western Riviera, even Barcelona Spain, easily by car from there in a day, finding the Limoux house a delight to return to and relax in after sightseeing. Accomodation for families, or up to four couples, makes the house very affordable, yet it has the feeling of a very intimate and special place. Its small but private grounds, plus the scenery and many fine restaurants in Limoux itself, make it an ideal place for a holiday: one we intend to repeat just as soon as we can.
“Great holiday/wedding” Julie and Malcolm did an excellent job looking after us and was very flexible when our flight home was delayed by 24 hours. The rooms are very nice and very clean and the surrounding area is beautiful.
They did an excellent job organising a great wedding day that will be remembered for a very long time. We had breakfast one morning and it was lovely with plenty of it.
Looking forward to going back in the future and topping up the tan.
“Beautiful, romantic” We have got lot of information and seen many pictures beforehand, but still Mas du Bois Dore exceed expectations. Old farm renovated with taste, beautiful green garden surrounded by olive trees. The view to the walley was breathtaking.
The rooms were excellent and cool and refreshing after hot juny days outside.
Best thing was quet evenigs sitting in the garden or by the pool, watching beautiful sunsets.
Surrounding provence was worth visiting, pictoresgue old towns and amazing
Canyon du Verdon, the views we never forget.
We'll come back!!!
“Its a wonderful recipe for a holiday chill out !” Hi Lucy Susie and I have just had another great week in the Languedoc, and part of our pleasure has been the delightful " Chez Lu Lu ". A glass of wine (or two) on your roof terrace with Swallows and Swifts for company is a wonderful recipe for a holiday chill out ! A la prochaine alex and Susie Cotswolds UK
“A truly amazing French Provencal experience” This was the first of several gites we stayed in during our recent four week trip to France and it was the most unforgettable. Our local contact, Jean-Pierre, spoke no English and likewise we speak no French however this in no way prevented us from having some wonderful conversations together. Everything about this gite, Saint Martin de Bromes and indeed the entire area is totally charming.
Each evening, Jean-Pierre would take our order for croissants and baguettes and then leave them hanging in a bag on our front door before we were even out of bed each morning. They came fresh from the local bakery where he works.
The gite was comfortable, warm, spotlessly clean, provided everything we needed and simply oozed charm.
The location was perfect as a starting point for many day trips - north, south, east and west, each one more spectacular than the last. Saint Martin de Bromes boasts an excellent restaurant which is open for lunch and dinner and serves delicious, inexpensive meals.
I highly recommend this gite in this gorgeous little part of France to anyone seeking peace and quiet, breathtaking scenery, loads of history and unbelievably charming people.
“Quality time with friends or family in a superb villa” This villa is absolutely fantastic. Very big, very clean, large kitchen and everything works. Towels, blankets, baby beds, wifi and anything you might need is there and it's nicely decorated so you'll feel right at home. The big terras and playground was perfect for our 14 month old daughter. This place is perfect for groups and families but still cosy enough for a couple. Did I mention the swimming pool and jacuzzi?
The house is situated on the edge of artignosc on a small hill with a 360 degree view of the surrounding hills and forests. The village is small and very quite and within a minute you'll find yourself walking through nature.
Artignosc itself is small, rustic, near a small lake and gorge and within half an hour drive from other very nice villages with lots of historical remnants from Roman times (fountains, townsquares, towers etc).
Within 45 minutes you'll find yourself and the famous Gorges du Verdon, or as some say the French Grand Canyon (it is really the 2nd biggest canyon in the world!)
From artignosc it's a 1,5 hour drive to St. Maxime on the Cote d'Azur and I suggest you do that and add a day of beach fun to your peaceful stay.
The first contact with the owner was very smooth and he was quick to reply to any question we had. He lives 200 meters down the road and will immediately come and solve any issue you might have. He also invited me and my family for a Sunday lunch with his beautiful family, which was a lot of fun, also because of the good food, wine and pastiche :)
I you're up for quality time with friends or family I sincerely recommend this villa and it's owner!!
“A friendly and relaxing place to stay” Carolyn and Nick could not have been more accommodating. We decided not to hire a car and use the cottage as a base for our cycling holiday.Nick provided the airport transfer and a supermarket visit en-route to the cottage. We cycled the local area each day and had a very comfortable and relaxing base to operate from. We decided to dine with Carolyn and Nick on alternate nights - the food and company were excellent and one of the highlights of our week in France. This was a delightful introduction to cycling in France which we would recommend to new and experienced travellers to the area.
“Friendly B and B” We enjoyed our stay very much. Our hosts were very friendly and helpful, the food lovely and accommodation of a good standard. The only thing to note is if you have small children that you want to get to bed early the church bells might make getting them to sleep a challenge. We soon relaxed into our holiday and found our 5 year old enjoyed scooting round the square while we ate so bed time became very relaxed.
Loved the location great days out. the wild swimming was a real treat.
