Villas in France and Gites – Holiday Lettings – Holiday Rentals France
“Very enjoyable holiday. Fab accommodation” Really enjoyed our trip to maison dix Neuf. House is great. Modern downstairs with excellent kitchen. Upstairs full of traditional character. Huge master an suite bedroom. 2 further doubles, one is a mezzanine with low beam so be a bit careful but my son had no issues. We really enjoyed the outside space. Lovely pool with outdoor furniture and tropical garden. Not being a sun lover I enjoyed the summer house for reading in and the part shaded hammock. Jarnac is a lovely town, bit smaller than I thought but quaint. Be aware that a lot if shops close on Mondays as well as Sunday afternoon although the main supermarkets are open and only 5 mins drive. Property is very close to the river charente which is pretty and clean. We enjoyed a couple of sessions kayaking on it which has purpose built rapids for novices. Several cognac houses do tours. Courvoisier is the main one but you pay 9-17 euros for a tour. We did the Hine tour which is free and round the corner. You just need to ring or e mail to arrange. As it's free you can spend the money on the cognac! All in all an excellent holiday. Good communication from Philip the owner. We were met by the house keeper Tracy. She was very helpful. We rang her to get access slightly earlier. As we got there on a Sunday when shops closed she even offered us some of her shopping if we were struggling. If you want to go to this area they I would recommend staying here

“A place to relax” This is a really good place to relax at after busy days in this busy area. Both Villefranche and the apartment is nice to return to. Parking in Villefranche could be a problem but here you can park inside the apartment area (even if there was not a reserved parking place for this apartment).
The apartment was very clean and as described. The patio has a nice seaview but some other buildings partly block it. There is some noise from the road but the bedrooms are at the back side and are very quiet. The distance to Villefrance center is 10-15 minutes walk (uphill back) and to beach and train station it is more like 20 minutes. Bus to Nice is very easy but they stop going around 8 pm.
The only really negative thing I would say is about the pool area. Clean but very boring.
A lovely comfortable clean apartment with a fantastic private terrace/garden with views over the bay and Cap Ferrat. The meet and great couple were very friendly with helpful local tips.

Thank you for such a positive review. We love our apartment and VilleFranche but it always so good when we hear our guests do too.

Thank you so much for going to the trouble of writing a review. I will take on board your mention of air con. We do have free standing fans but I understand that if, as predicted, summers are getting hotter I will have to
