“A comfortable flat in a prestigious building, with all services on your doorstep” This was my second stay in this flat. It is bright, well equipped and conveniently situated near the centre of Cagnes sur Mer. I did not need to hire a car to see all major places of interest on the Cote d'Azure, as there was cheap bus transport on the doorstep and the train station was about 15 minutes walk away. Having a large balcony and a pool meant that when I returned at the end of the day, I could chill out and relax in my home from home.
We loved the overall location of this property. Cagne Sur Mer was close enough to the action of Nice and Antibes that we could easily enjoy it, but as a smaller community, was out of the tourist acti… More
“This is the life - tranquility, mostly good weather, secluded swimming pool, beautiful surroundings and countryside” Returning for our fifth visit, it only gets better. The owners give you all the privacy you want, but are there to help if you need assistance or advice. They have very good tips for restaurants and you will become an armagnac fan. It is the ideal place to read, swim and generally relax in peaceful surroundings. Living in the chartreuse is a pleasant experience of a stone house with massive walls, spacious rooms with high ceilings - wonderfully cool in summer. Enjoy a sundowner in the courtyard or while watching the sunset from the look-out point. Breakfast (after a swim) on the front terrace in the sun or in the shade of the nook between the walls of the old farm buildings. Home-grown entertainment included - just watch the chickens - the television stays switched off throughout the holiday.
If you find the energy, visit the markets in nearby Eauze, Nérac or Condom. Montréal du Gers is a fascinating fortified village - call in at the small museum in the tourist office for a view of the mosaic floors excavated from the nearby roman villa at Seviac, which is also worth a visit on a fine day.

“Beautiful cottage with character in excellent location” We thoroughly enjoyed our stay in Dinan and were delighted with the accommodation. A spacious, well cared for house with everything needed for a relaxing break. Well equipped kitchen and small, cosy courtyard area outside for BBQs and outdoor dining. Both bedrooms were comfortable and spacious and each bathroom was adequate too with a plentiful supply of hot water. On arrival the house was clean and tidy so all we had to do was unpack and make the beds with our own bed linen. For the bookworm in the family there was a well stocked book shelf and peaceful quiet reading area upstairs! Parking was occasionally problematic but we usually found a space at the end of the road, less than a minutes walk away. La Maison du Four was the perfect rental for us and our only other comment would be that Wifi would complete the ideal (certainly for the teenager in the family!)
This was our first stay in Dinan as a family and we were not disappointed. Dinan is beautiful and the house is perfectly situated for access to the port and town. It is an energetic but pleasant walk up the cobbled street to the town but punctuated with delightful shops to stop, catch your breath and browse in! A range of restaurants plus a bakery are a minutes walk just over the bridge. However the close proximity to said restaurants was not a problem in terms of noise disturbance - we didn't hear a thing!
We would happily recommend this holiday rental to our friends and extend our thanks to Jeremy for promptly answering our queries and dealing with the booking process with courtesy and efficiency.
The house is a great place to stay for visiting Brittany or enjoying Dinan. The house in itself is full of character where old features still remain. There is a small access to the river through the… More

“Lovely restful holiday” We've just returned from a lovely stay at the Logis de Lussais. Julie and Eric were very welcoming, friendly and helpful and the gite was comfortable, clean and well equipped. It is well placed for exploring the local region and we enjoyed visits to Poitiers, La Rochelle, Niort and Coulon as well as to the local village of Chef Boutonne, with it's shops, cafes, pretty chateau and fishing lake.
