“Just what was needed” We loved the overall location of this property. Cagne Sur Mer was close enough to the action of Nice and Antibes that we could easily enjoy it, but as a smaller community, was out of the tourist action generally. The apartment was perfect for a family with small children, with a large bed in the bedroom, and pull outs in the living room. Every night we were able to enjoy wine on the balcony while our little one slept soundly, and there was no need for sneaking around or avoiding area of the apartment. The pool allowed for an easy cool-down from the warm weather, which was good, because the beach, although close, was a little further than we expected.
Amenities were easy to find with a daily market and supermarket close by and a playground for children of all ages. The train station was accessible, although we found that the bus service of the coast was very cheap and good, so we didn't use the trains much. A handy tip is that there is a bus service from the Airport in Nice, which passes RIGHT by the apartment, it was substantially cheaper than a taxi! We recommend that this be used by travelers.
We would definitely stay here again. The price was right for a great holiday!
“Great position, lovely accommodation” The apartment was in a super elevated position with great views to the port. We spent many hours people watching and seeing the boats come and go. The apartment was clean and very comfortable and felt safe and secure. It had everything you need. The new shower room was superb! Transport in Nice is excellent with three different buses to catch right outside, although it's an easy walk to Place Garibaldi where there are trams and buses to everywhere. You can catch the bus outside to Monaco for 1.5 euros and stop off at Villefranche-sur-Mer on the way, which is beautiful too. In fact the buses are 1.5 euros to almost everywhere.
“Perfect place to stay in Chamonix!” We were lucky enough to spend New Year at Le Refuge and be one of the first guests in the newly refurbished apartment. The owners have done a fab job. Everything you could want from ski accommodation - comfy beds, hot and powerful shower, stacks of space to store wet gear and a great, sociable dining area to while away the evenings. There were six of us which worked perfectly.
Right in the centre of Chamonix so a quick walk to all shops, bars and restaurants (recommend Evolution for partying and MBC for amazing burgers) and a parking place inside if you have a car to drive to the slopes.
Thoroughly recommend Le Refuge.

“Hard to Beat” Considering the price, this must be one of the best self-catering Villas we have holidayed in over the last 40 years or so. We are very experienced travellers
The quality is very, very good and absolutely everything one needs in a holiday villa has been thought of and provided
Great inside - but even better outside at the pool and excellent outdoor 'kitchen and dining' area - complete with BBQ. We ate inside only once during the 7 day stay
Max size TV screen in the lounge area and a very comprehensive collection of DVDs to go with it - we had a 'film night' most evenings
Argeles is a decent area to visit - with a close by (walking distance) old town and a good, clean beach 10 mins away by car. Fairly good selection of restaurants and a nice old town market each Wednesday morning
Perpignan (a great place to visit) is 15 minutes away by train - and the 28 Euros return railfare for 3 adults and an 8 year old will take some beating
In summary, you will not go far wrong if you book this Villa
