Formosa Village Fuzeta Luxury
Great apartment in an amazing location
We were very pleased with this apartment. What attracted us to it was the huge terrace where we could take in the fantastic views over the Ria Formosa and once we arrived we were not disappointed. It is a huge apartment, has two bedrooms, two bathrooms, a large lounge/diner and that enormous terrace for relaxing with a drink and also sun beds provided. There was also another terrace on the roof but as there were only two of us we didn't need to use this. My only moan about the apartment would be that the galley kitchen is far too small in relation to the size of all the other rooms but as we didn't cook all week we managed. The washing machine on the outside terrace was a bonus too.
The location of the apartment is spot on. Close to Fuseta town, about 10 minutes walk to the centre bearing left and to the harbour/sea front to the right with lots of boat trips to the nearby island and beaches. There are some great little restaurants in Fuseta, lots of cafes, bakeries, a bank along the front opposite the camp site and a large supermarket heading out of Fuseta on the left side. For a nearer smaller supermarket there is one just out of the apartment main entrance about a 5 minute walk in a northeasterly direction just passed the Fuseta A railway station.
The railway station was a revelation to us and so handy. The station is just about 500 yards straight ahead out the front door and although sometimes unmanned you can get regular trains to Olhao to the left and Tavira to the right for a couple of euros each. If no-one there just pay on the train - journey time 15-20 mins, both places worth a visit.
Fuseta is not as touristy as other places along the algarve but this is why we chose it, it was lovely and peaceful with no crowded beaches - we will definitely be back. …
2 Bed Apt overlooking the Ria Formosa w/ free Wifi
Very good and specious apartment with good furniture and well located.
AC only in the living room, in September was not problem with that, but I wonder how it would be in July/August.
No wifi or internet. OK solution provided by the admin was a vodafone wifi, we add 15 euros and it almost lasts our whole vacation, but we didn't use that much.
No special channels at he TV.
No heated pool, so was super cold water. …
Formosa Village 2 bedroom WiFi apartment (max 4)
Stunning apartment with everything you could need
Although we had seen the photos the apartment was even nicer on arrival, it still looked brand new. It was spotlessly clean and even beach towels were provided. We have 3 children and rather than one having to sleep on the sofa bed in the living area, an extra bed had been made up in the bedroom which was great and saved alot of arguing! The pool was lovely and there was only one day out of 11 that we couldn't get a sunbed, we just put our towels on the grass. The restaurants in Fuseta were fantastic and so reasonable. Our favourites were Casa Cova, La Concha and Josey's. The local beach is 5 mins walk but we loved that getting the ferry across to the main beach you could walk 5 mins and have it to yourself - it was beautiful and went on for miles. The train station was 3 mins walk, timetable easy to read on platform and trains were punctual and not expensive. We went to Tavira (recommend the water tower observatory) and Olhao (market) people also said Faro was worth a visit but we ran out of time. We did a dolphin boat trip from Fuseta which was the highlight of the holiday. Joana at Luso Living was extremley helpful and answered all my many questions very quickly. We will definitely be back! …
