“Squirrel Lodge” We’ve started at several log cabins with hot tubs since we became a dog family & this is by far the nicest - incredible views & sitting in the hot tub star gazing ( despite the lousy uk weather ) was great - finished to a high standard inside & out & very dog friendly

“The acorns forest stay” Lovely quiet place to stay, right in the heart of the forest. A large annex to the big farm house with its own patio & large grassed area/'field'. The owners were very helpful & friendly, if there are any problems (we had an issue with the oven working which got fixed in 5 mins!) but otherwise leave you alone to enjoy the property & your holiday. There was a welcome pack of fresh bread eggs milk butter etc which was lovely. There is also a lovely pub that serves food, is dog friendly & has a beautiful garden to sit in which was a short amble down the lane. It's based on a working farm so there are horses & free range chickens (& dogs!) I took my dog so he had an automatic social life when we arrived! The only down side (if I'm being picky!) is that the hot tub & garden furniture could do with an upgrade... but, having said that, it didn't in anyway detract from the great accommodation & hospitality... we have every intention of returning. If you're after a forest based, quiet, comfortable, well priced break, this is a great place to stay.

“Wonderful property, great location to take the family and dogs” All the facilities you could want and a hot tub. It's great that you can walk the dogs straight into the forest and you have other forest walks just a short car journey away. I see that we are not the first to rebook after our first visit.

“Fabulous family holiday” Three generations of our family had a wonderful stay. The accommodation was perfect for the 10 of us staying, enough space for us all. The swimming pool was a massive hit and well used every day. The snooker/music room/ bar was also a fabulous space. We had such a warm welcome from Lucy and the house was perfectly clean and very well stocked with everything we needed. Overall a truly wonderful holiday.

“Badgers End Cottage” Had a relaxing break at the cottage. A pretty cottage in a lovely area. Everything you need is supplied and the owners are friendly and welcoming, with great ideas of places that are worth visiting. Bryan the dog had endless fun in the fields just down the lane. We hope to return one day soon.

“Accommodated in style whilst fishing the Forest of Dean!!” Accommodation of a 5* rating. Nothing left unprovided; support from the owners as good as if it were coming from your parents. We would recommend this holiday let to anyone from the Queen to an honest office cleaner looking for peace and tranquility in a wonderful part of the UK.

“Winter in Gloucestershire” What more can we add to other glowing reviews. We stayed in Albion House for a week in January. The house is spacious, warm and well equipped with everything you need. It's situated in a great position in Newent and well placed for exploring the wider area. Andrew is a very helpful and attentive host and a lot of thought has gone into this holiday home.

“Lovely house and gardens” We stayed at Ingleside for a long weekend. Unfortunatley the heating hadn't been turned on prior to our arrival so we had a very chilly first few hours. The house is very spacious and well equipped, though the dining facilities could be improved so that everybody can sit together when the house is fully occupied. A detailed folder with information re: the local area, attractions, shops restaurants and take aways, full details of the house and services would be a welcome addition.

“Perfect” Brookbank folly, was perfect, relaxed, chilled, and quiet, was a fabulous week. That myself and partner enjoyed, would definatly return, was a very warm welcome we had on arrival :). Had some fantastic photo opportunity while exploring the towns and local facilities. Dean heritage centre with the gruffalo made the stay even better, also taking number of visits to adams farm for both the animals and milk was even better!! Can't wait to visit again! Thanks x
