“A very charming place” This place is just right for all the city boys and girls who crave to get out of their tiny central London apartments from time to time and enjoy a really nice cottage and the countryside.
The cottage looks so charming it's hard to believe it's real. Inside it's pretty spacious with a double bedroom of a good size and another very large bedroom with 3 single (but pretty large) beds. The bathroom is also bigger than I expected.
The living room and the terrace are very cozy, just right for a relaxing night in with a glass of wine in front of a log burner.
The kitchen has everything you need to cook a nice meal. It might have been a good idea if there was more than 1 frying pan there, but since it was just 2 of us we were fine.
I spoke to the owners through emails in the run up to the holiday and they seemed a very nice and friendly couple.
All in all - the best thing you can think of for a relaxing weekend away from London.

“Perfect location for Ayrshire visit” We were a group of three couples who wanted to explore this lovely area. Alloway is a really good location as it is close to the coast, The Isle of Arran, Glasgow and also loch Lomond. The village has a really good pub, The Brig o Doon as well as museums and gardens celebrating Robert Burns.
Thank you Amber for being a pleasure to deal with and for providing a really welcoming cottage for your guests.
“Tuscan magic!” Having travelled some in the Greve region of Tuscany, we knew what to expect in terms of scenic beauty. Casalone fitted right in to the Magic of Tuscany! The house is suitable for two close families, and comfortably sleeps 6 adults and 2 children.
Wonderful service and quick response from the owner and Ester, the Italian assitand who was just an sms away, if we needed anything.
Close to Greve, but you will need a car, and be aware the Chianti gravel roads... Can cause flat tires.
Situated on a hillside, the mosquitos where not bothersome, nice breeze. We travelled around to friends in Panzano and at the restaurant in Lamole, and everything is within 20 minutes.
The pool area was wonderful, really clean and neat.
We used the wood fired stoneoven and made Italian pizza, and they supplied us with more wood when we needed it.
Good beds, for Italian standard, and lovley bed linnen.
Enough kitchen equippment to really have a nice cook up for friends, and bbq that we also used.
All in all, we highly recomend this property for families with children, in the heart of magical Chianti. Hope to come back next year!
“Excellent cottage with great access to the trails” Really pleased with the accomodation for our weekend of mountain biking. Loads of space for our group, very comfortable, great hot tub and very close to the trails and the pub!

“Picturesque & Peaceful stay in Monts” I would highly recommend this property to anyone looking to explore the wider loire valley region. As an old water mill alongside the river the setting is stunning and is a great base for exploring the sights in surrounding areas. The hosts are very friendly and helpful with plenty of great tourist and restuarant recommendations. The WiFi was good and reliable.
“Beautiful place to stay.” We stayed here for 4 days for our honeymoon and loved it. It is clean, well equipped, beautifully laid out and it's in a stunning location. Great walks and wildlife spotting around. The host was very friendly, helpful and went out of their way to make it enjoyable for us. Definitely recommend!
“great place to stay” great location, though you come back fitter than you went with all the hills around the area, villa clean tidy roomy and well worth every penny, really enjoyed our time in it.
found some great places to eat down in the village, the Outside Inn is a worth a visit for a few beers and a good natter
“Just lovely” This lodge really is worth every penny. It's beautifully decorated with modern fixtures and fittings, an incredible hot tub, and a fabulous decking area with a gas barbecue. The owner Paul was really friendly and helpful upon arrival and made us all feel extremely welcome. We had our eight year old little girl with us, and she loved it too, putting on the 3D glasses for the TV in her room before we'd even unpacked! It's within a short drive of all the amenities and activities you'd expect in the New Forest, and Ringwood is only a few minutes drive away.
If we had to be picky, we could have done with an oven, and the barbecue lacked the appropriate utensils. But these points aside we had such a wonderful time at the lodge, and we'd highly recommend it as a much better alternative to the holiday parks in the area.
Lovely lodge with everything you need. Very cosy, lovely location. Would recommend. Couldn't fault it.… More
