“Fantastic stay” Just got back from a great weekend away at this cabin. The views are terrific and the cabin is so cosy and comfortable I could of stayed longer. We were welcomed with a bottle of wine(most appreciated!) and a little note with all details we needed. There were lots of personal touches and the cabin was nicely decorated with all facilities needed. I would definitely recommend this cabin as a great place to stay when you just want to get away from the hustle and bustle and chill out for a while. Plenty of nice places to visit nearby too. Will be in touch to stay again I'm sure. Our little springer Penny loved it too! It's nice to find somewhere dog friendly that is so nice.

“Cabin on Welsh farm” Everything we expected for price, accommodation and location. Host were friendly and helpful even gave us a tour of the farm. Toys in the twin bedrooms for two toddlers proved to be a life saver. Would book again.

“STAY AT RONALDSAY LODGE, STRONTIAN” Amazing stay in one of the most wonderful self-catering accommodation locations we have had on the west coast and we have had a few. Stunning scenery, peace and serenity. Accessibility to fab places to visit such as Ardenmurchan Lighthouse synonymous with being the most westerly point of the whole whole of the UK and Sanna Bay the turquoise water and white Sands v.tropical. Go visit Glenfinnan and view the viaduct which was used in Harry Potter and have lunch on the Dining car. Fort William is great for supplies at the Tescos or Morrisons. The Cabin itself is is fully serviced, felt at home as soon as we got there. Clean, all mod cons. A perfect blend of contemporary and country living. All in all a great time.

“Wonderful weekend at cuttermoon” I would highly recommend staying at cuttermoon Lodge. Myself husband and pooch had a fantastic weekend. Helen and Jon were very welcoming and friendly but left us to your own devices. Alot of thought has gone into what you might need in the lodge and the hamper of local produce and home made lemon drizzle (my fav!) cake was the perfect finishing touch. We would definitely return.

“Fantastic Log Cabin set in beautiful countryside!” We absolutely loved this log cabin, the cabin itself was great with everything you would need, fridge freezer, microwave, oven and TV (not that you need the TV with such lovely views!). The cabin was cosy and comfortable with a lovely traditional feel to it! The cabin is set in a beautiful location in the trees overlooking the Loch, it is so quiet and peaceful. Shops are a long way off so you need to make sure you have what you need but that was fine with us as it just confirmed the remoteness that you want with a log cabin. I can't think of any faults, couldn't have asked for a better holiday! If you are staying here then I'd suggest a trip to Chanonray Point near Inverness to see the wild dolphins!

“Disappointed by the steep steps to the river not being mentioned” Booked 2 weeks for my husbands birthday for fishing and sightseeing. Had asked if the fishing area was flat and how far above river - the platforms are flat and 4ft above river is true but steep steps down about 20ft and traverse to the lhs platform by either earth bank or walk across sandbags was not mentioned. Existing pic of loveseat in the description looks like the river is not as far down from the property as it is - the loveseat now in the lawned area of garden. Real trial to take fishing chairs, tackle, bait etc up and down the steps, planned to do a few hours early a.m. and late p.m. - but didn't want to shift the stuff twice a day. The lane to the property is very long & narrow - and you have to keep pulling over and/or reversing, & last part of the track is bumpy. It put us off going out again for the evening - I didn't want to drive it there and back more than once a day really. The other negatives - no phone coverage for Vodafone and EE networks, no shaver points in the bathrooms, living room sofa very low and soft (bad if you have dodgy knees!) the sofa in bedroom is okay. Not much shelf or cupboard space for groceries -they are full of crockery & equipment. No dishcloth and only one tea towel. Could have done with a fan for when it gets hot inside. Have stayed in similar priced properties and they usually have a few more basic supplies like vinegar, cling film, plenty of loo rolls etc. Now for the positives, the wildlife and the view are great - saw deer and fox cubs playing in the clearing on the opposite bank, as well as all the birds and the cows out near the track. We used the en suite bedroom - the bed is huge and very comfortable, the shower has plenty of room. In general it was very clean and tidy. TV reception was fine. For anglers, the river flow is fast, about 4- 5ft deep, lots of snags /weed. Caught eels, chub, perch, roach, barbel and a first - a freshwater clam on a worm! Standard fishing chairs only fit on the lhs platform if you want to face forwards.

“Such a peaceful getaway, just what we needed.” We have just spent two days here at Cygnus. What a comfortable and cosy little cabin. Jenny and Wayne were lovely. Gave us recommendations on places to eat which didn't disappoint. The Cross Keys is lovely. They also told us about a local event 1940's weekend which was brilliant. Situated just in front of the LWR barely heard a peep and the train was running both days we were there. The welcome in was so lovely after a long drive, a complimentary breakfast tray in the kitchen area with bread, jams, cereal, butter, coffee, tea and milk. Brilliant as it saves you having to find the nearest supermarket to get essentials immediately. What a lovely touch. Huge selection of kids books and games, which our 5 year old loved. Very homely feel. Wonderful stay! Thank you!
