“Holiday Cottage” A very clean, well equipped house which is full of character. The welcome bottle of wine and the bunches of fresh flowers were much appreciated. The owner took the time during our stay to suggest visits in the area which were appropriate for different weather conditions and was clearly proud of what the house had to offer. We would recommend the house without hesitation.

Whitby townhouse

“Whitby Beech House” We stayed at Beech House in April for a week and had a wonderful time. As a party we were four adults and for children and they house was perfectly set up for this. The children shared twin rooms the adults each in a double one with on suite the other with a jack and jill style bathroom. There are two sitting areas which meant the kids could have their own space sometimes and so could we. The house was immaculate and very well equipped. The owner had thought of most things with lots of nice touches. We had a welcome basket on arrival the bathrooms had shampoos, conditioners and hand soaps and the kitchen had all of the cleaning things you could want to no need to bring anything extra. In the storage shed outside the kids were even left some buckets and lines for crabbing in the harbour which they loved. The location of the house is great with just a short work down into Whitby close to the train station. There is so much to do in the area and we really made the most of our week with visits to the beach, Dalby Forest, Flamingo Land and Runswick Bay. The owner was great with her communication checking all was ok for us and advising on local takeaway and delivery for the night of our arrival. My only comment which may improve things a little would be the size of the dish washer and fridge. They were small for the size of party that would use the house. Really just a minor point though as we would definitely go back to Beech House again.

Wells townhouse

“Comfortable and well located town house” This is a very well presented and spotlessly clean town house over three levels. The lower level is simply a small entrance hall useful for shoes and coats. The next level has good sized lounge accommodation combined with a nice kitchen. The kitchen appliances ( induction hob, electric ovens, fridge, freezer, washing machine and dishwasher) all worked well. Full instructions are provided for everything but they are all very simple. If we had not stayed in the hottest week of the year a washer / dryer might have been useful. Also on this level is a good sized bathroom with a full bath and an over taps shower that had good power pressure and a very good temperature control. We also found the landing space on this level very useful for additional storage and for getting things together for days out. The top level has a good sized master bedroom with lots of storage, another good sized twin with lots of storage and a wet room. The head room in the wet room is very restricted but it was useful to have an addition toilet upstairs. Like other reviewers, we would have preferred a bigger bed and the master bedroom has plenty of space for one. The building area is extremely quiet despite being part of a townhouse development. The location is literally a one minute walk from Wells High Street. A lot of reviews mention the parking. The owners are completely open that the space is tight (it's the manoeuvring area which is limited rather than the actual space). We have a Honda CRV. We used the space all the time and were in and out for day trips. It is tricky in a car of our size and I made full use of the parking camera, the sensors and my wife guiding! It can be done but you have to accept a slow, careful, multi point turn in a car of this size. In a bigger car it might be impossible. In a smaller car you should be able to do it without worrying that it is much of an issue. Wells itself is a lovely small city. This was a family holiday and, apart from the well-known attractions we also visited the excellent cinema (looks nothing from the outside but has three screens, comfortable seats and air-con), the swimming pool (lovely and modern, great for children as it's really warm and maximum depth 1.35m) and the Wells museum (lots of interesting things from the Somerset area). We had very good meals at the nearby City Arms and The Crown pubs. Day trips out from Wells included Longleat Safari Park, Wookey Hole Caves & attractions, Burnham on Sea and Glastonbury. Wells has a nice market (Wednesdays & Saturdays). It's a five minute walk from the property. Overall, this is a good property and a great base for exploring that part of Somerset

“Great house, fantastic location... Unbeatable!” The one thing this house has that no other holiday property has ever had for me is really really really comfortable beds, pillows and duvets. Great nights sleep had by us all! The location is second to none and the Owner Janet went above and beyond the call of duty to ensure we enjoyed our stay... Should have a 5 star rating on this property!!!

Holiday townhouse with golf nearby in England

Littlestone-on-Sea townhouse

  • 6 bedrooms
  • 4 bathrooms
  • sleeps 11

“Great house for a family get together” We stayed just after Christmas. Plenty of living space and the kitchen is extremely well equipped for a large group. Lots of plates, cutlery and pots and pans. Fabulous seaview although the surrounding area isnt really an English holiday hotspot (sorry Liittlestone) but it was great for us. The owner was helpful and returned emails and our security deposit promptly. We had to leave the house clean to get our deposit back and were concerned about the levels required in such a large house and with a 10am checkout time. That was frantic and worrying for us. We have booked for next Christmas and asked for cleaning to be included to save my stress levels. We had wonderful meals in the large dining room, grandparents visited and we had 12 seated for dinner easily. There are candles, plenty of mats and even 'posh' cutlery. The owner has taken great care to refurbish the property and the Victorian hall tiles and front steps are lovely. There was a complaint about one of beds being uncomfortable from our group (top floor middle double) but ours was fine. Am sure it is personal preference. An extra or larger sofas in the living room would have been handy as people had to sit on the floor or footstools when all 10 were wanting to sit down. There is a 3 seat and 2 seat sofa and an arm chair. We did also take up and armchair from the dining room to use. The area was quiet, we could park easily out the front of the house, there is a supermarket up the road for groceries. We didnt explore the area as we were there for 3 nights and were there at Christmas. The men did play golf at Littlestone and enjoyed it and can also recommend the breakfast they serve. I cant think of much else except, we are re-booked and can recommend it. If you are a larger family group and looking for somewhere this summer right on the seafront this is the place for you.

Selsey holiday townhouse rental

Selsey townhouse

“Fabulous house, fabulous place, fabulous holiday.” we have just got back from an extended family holiday at Lifeboat View and had a great time. All 9 of us and the dog thoroughly enjoyed our stay - beach is a minutes walk away, as is the play park, ice cream kiosk (a favourite with the boys) and fresh fish shop. Literally 3 minutes walk up the road is a great parade of shops including bakery, butchers, green grocers and post office. Selsey high street is about 5 minutes walk away with lots of independent shops which makes such a welcome change from the usual supermarket and chain store dominance in most towns. With fantastic local walks around the duck pond, beach, lifeboat station etc, and decent local pubs you could easily not use your car at all when you stay here. The house is fantastically equipped, including with every kitchen gadget known to man. Beds are really comfy, lounge is a great size as is the family bathroom. Wonderful to have secure enclosed garden as had children and a dog with us. I genuinely believe the photos on the holiday lettings website fail to do this property true justice - the house is lighter, more spacious and bigger than the photos appear. All in all a wonderful place to stay and we hope to shortly be booking again for next year! Thank you! X

“A quiet house close to a busy London” Three blocks to the Stepney Green Tube station, then 20 minutes to anywhere in London. In a quiet neighborhood, with some stores, restaurants, a good pub (the Half-Moon), and a theater (Genesis) nearby. The house is clean, well furnished, artfully decorated and comfortable to live in. The quiet, cool garden is a delight. Kitchen is completely equiped if you tire of the London East End myriad of eateries. Bathrooms are clean and modern. Overall, it came to feel like home, but we did stay for a month. And will again if we get the chance.

Ulverston townhouse

“Great sauna, comfortable beds - great after a day walking the lakes” This is a lovely house in an ideal location for exploring the Lakes. The town of Ulverston has plenty to offer in terms of shops, pubs, restaurants and even local walks. The kitchen is well equipped - the conservatory the ideal place for reading the papers on a Sunday morning with a coffee from the Gaggia. The sauna is a welcome treat especially after a day walking the lakes. The bathroom is a good size and the large bath allows for a good long soak - the separate shower cubicle has a great rain fall shower. With 4 adults staying - there was plenty of space for us all. Parking proved to be very easy - we always found a spot for our 2 cars and using the parking permits supplied. We really enjoyed out stay at TQS!

“Best place in Newquay!” This place is the best place I've stayed in! Location is right in front of Fristral beach with amazing views with town centre only 10min walk. There are loads of parking spaces for 2 cars maybe you could get 3 if not busy. The house is spotlessly clean ,stylish with loads of space for us which was a party of 7. The house is over 3 floors. The groud floor has a bedroom and a bathroom with a power shower to get all the sand off your wetsuits.2nd floor is the living room with a nice big tv and a xbox. Also the kitchen with all the mod cons. There another 2 bedrooms and a family bathroom upstairs.Neil was a great host happy to help with anything.thanks. We come to Newquay every year and will definitely return.

“A fantastic break in a great house” Kings House was the perfect base for our trip to Scarborough. Although a large party we had plenty of space. The house is very well equipped and the kitchen had everything in it we could wish for. Being located on the edge of Scarboroughs South Cliff was perfect for long bracing walks around the resorts Marine drive (essential for working off all those fish and chips). The owner was very helpful from start to finish. We will definitely be back.

Holiday townhouse in Lostwithiel

Lostwithiel townhouse

“Perfect house in perfect location” We loved the house and we already knew we loved Lostwithiel - it's such a pretty village. We haven't tried many of the local eateries, but we did eat at The Globe this time, and it was as good as all the previous guests had said. And a pasty from Fran's Pantry really can't be missed. The house itself is beautifully decorated and lacks nothing. We really didn't want to leave. The kids loved their Moroccan room at the top of the house. The owner and the local contacts are extremely accommodating and helpful. Lostwithiel itself is a great base for both South coast (Fowey, Looe, Lanydrock, Lost Gardens of Heligan, Eden Project, Mevagissey, train to Penzance), and North coast (Tintagel, Padstow, Port Isaac). The kids have insisted we return - which I definitely hope we will.

“Fantastic group surf trip” Excellent location and a good sized house for the 7 of us plus dog. Garage and garden were a fantastic way to rinse and dry wetsuits and not trapse sand in the house! Location was great for us quick walk to town, beaches, restaurants, bars and pubs and quick drive to fistral ( you could walk but too many boards!) Would highly recommend this property for groups of friends or families.

“Lovely welcome!” The Sewing Rooms was perfect for us. The owners had left us a sausages, bacon, beans, milk, bread and a cake! The rooms were very comfortable indeed. We had a very busy w/e so didn't have time to enjoy the books, board games and DVDs but they were all available. Market street was busy and rather noisy but the double glazing was excellent so no problem at all. I highly recommend this lovely venue and also the owners :)
