“Wonderful retreat!!!” I cannot fault Coombe Farm. It was my 30th and a large group of us, and Angela and Tim couldnt have been more accomodating, they were totally relaxed and we forgot they were on site! the house is beautiful, we all felt as though it was 'ours' for thr weekend and didnt want to leave! it was very well equipped for parties, cooking and everything, and the dressing up box made for some amusing photos!! it snowed heavily in the few days before so we were worried we might not make it but Angela took all the stress out of it. we had an amazing few days and would love to come back!!!

“Plenty of home comforts” The house has been restored to a high standard and has everything that you'd expect of a modern holiday home without losing it's character and that of the area. The location is pretty handy for getting around, with Tintagel Castle being the main tourist attraction nearby. It's a short drive from the local shop which does a great Cornish pasty and has all the essentials. The bedrooms are all good sizes and the beds are comfy. The kitchen has plenty of crockery, cutlery and everything you'd need to make a family meal. There's a smeg fridge, large cooker and dishwasher so you don't have to spend ages doing the dishes when on holiday! The house also has a washing machine. My favourite part of the house is the high-ceilinged open plan living area which has a dual aspect and has the dining table at its centre. Perfect meals with family or friends (in our case).

“Met all our needs comfortably.” The treat of fresh bread, cake, eggs and meats was unexpected and so with the food we brought, we had much more food than we could manage. Beds were comfortable, kitchen was very well equipped and the owners were friendly and gracious. The surrounds provided a nice area for walking and exercising the dogs. It is a bit remote: be prepared for a long stretch of ungroomed road on the way in.

“A perfect place for a large family gathering” We were at Moorbath Farmhouse for Christmas, and couldn't have wanted a better place to be – welcoming us with lit fires, a decorated tree, and holly-decked pictures. Even a bunch of mistletoe. There was everything we needed: plenty of crockery and cutlery, so there was always enough , even with full loads in the two dishwashers, for our party of 18. Our ages ranged from 2 to 65, and Moorbath suited us all. The dining table was especially appreciated. 18 adults sat round it one evening, without being at all crowded, and with plenty of space down the middle of the table for setting out the feast, and the drink to go with it. The only shame was the time of year meant we couldn't eat outside and make use of the tables and cooking equipment there, and the lovely garden.

“Stunning views, immaculate house - highly recommend” The house is situated on a hill so the views are stunning. When we arrived there were flowers on the kitchen table and milk, wine and juice in the fridge - a welcome we weren't anticipating but very much appreciated the gesture. All the bedrooms are a really good size and with 2 ensuites and 1 main bathroom there were enough showers for everyone. The beds were very comfortable and the furniture and styling of the house was really nice. Would highly recommend for a weekend or a holiday.

“SUPERB ACCOMMODATION” Our family of 10 had a weekend break at The Coach House last weekend and we were very impressed with the standard of the accommodation. On arrival we were made to feel very welcome by Anna (the owner) who immediately laid out Tea & Scones for us. On showing us around the house, the first thing we noticed was how impeccably clean everywhere was and the attention to detail that was apparent. Everything we needed, through the kitchen, to the lounge, and through the bedrooms was there. The lovely courtyard, where there is room to enjoy breakfast or lunch, is a real sun trap, and if the evenings are bit cooler then there is always the wood burner to add comfort to the lounge. We found a lovely village pub for Sunday lunch called The Chequers, about 5 miles away at Wimbotsham. The food was reasonably priced and there was a nice village pub atmosphere. All in all we had a super relaxing weekend made all the better with our choice of accommodation. Thank you Anna, I would have no hesitation in recommending The Coach House to anyone.
