Properties on Holiday Lettings can be sorted/ranked in the following ways:
Orders properties using various data points, in particular: ratings, number of bedrooms/bathrooms, minimum number of nights, and data relating to the interest in/bookings of the property through us, including the advertiser’s rate of providing quotes to travellers who make enquiries. Other factors include price, property capacity, number of photographs, location, amenities, appearance in search results, page views, and the advertiser’s responsiveness and cancellation rate.
Price low to high / high to low
Orders properties based on either (i) the property’s minimum nightly price, if the traveller has searched without dates, or (ii) the average nightly price for the applicable week of the year, if the traveller has input dates.
Orders properties by total number of reviews attached to the listing (highest to lowest), irrespective of average score. Where there is a listing with the same number of reviews as another (or a listing with no reviews), properties are sorted according to their proximity to the searched location.
“Ideal for the 7stanes, great for teens” We stayed here as a couple with 2 teenagers who were mountain biking the 7stanes. It was a good location, about half an hour from Ae and Mabie and a further 10 minutes to Dalbeattie. It's on a farm, so well used to a muddy teen or 2. The owners were very friendly and helpful. The cottage had all that was required for a comfortable stay for our long weekend including an outside tap for bikes and muddy boots. It's about 15 minutes from the centre of Dumfries and the nearest supermarkets etc.
Our teens shared the living room and the sofa turned out to be a sofa bed, so that was fine. I would say ideal for younger families where the kids could be in with their parents and ideal for 1 older child, who could sleep in the living room. Great to have 2 showers, too.
“Ticked all the boxes” Clean and well kept, big enough for the four of us, peace and quiet, great location for sight seeing, everything you could possibly need in the cottage, nice enclosed garden for the dog, great views... what more can I say other than we will book again. Thank you for your hospitality.
“Fantastic lodge” Had another fabulous weekend at Woodburn Cottage. This was our second visit and it wont be the last. The location is excellent, looking onto Mabie Forrest. The lodge is well equipped and modern, the hottub is fantastic!
The owner Nigel is very friendly and accommodating.
“The accommodation was first class and very comfortable.” The lodge was very easy to find and in a nice location. The lodge was very well equipped and very well kept and very clean. We were most comfortable staying there and would consider another stay in the future. Our compliments to the owner for providing such a welcoming environment to stay in. I am disabled and was able to manage quite well.
