“Ideal for the 7stanes, great for teens” We stayed here as a couple with 2 teenagers who were mountain biking the 7stanes. It was a good location, about half an hour from Ae and Mabie and a further 10 minutes to Dalbeattie. It's on a farm, so well used to a muddy teen or 2. The owners were very friendly and helpful. The cottage had all that was required for a comfortable stay for our long weekend including an outside tap for bikes and muddy boots. It's about 15 minutes from the centre of Dumfries and the nearest supermarkets etc. Our teens shared the living room and the sofa turned out to be a sofa bed, so that was fine. I would say ideal for younger families where the kids could be in with their parents and ideal for 1 older child, who could sleep in the living room. Great to have 2 showers, too.

“The accommodation was first class and very comfortable.” The lodge was very easy to find and in a nice location. The lodge was very well equipped and very well kept and very clean. We were most comfortable staying there and would consider another stay in the future. Our compliments to the owner for providing such a welcoming environment to stay in. I am disabled and was able to manage quite well.
