Properties on Holiday Lettings can be sorted/ranked in the following ways:
Orders properties using various data points, in particular: ratings, number of bedrooms/bathrooms, minimum number of nights, and data relating to the interest in/bookings of the property through us, including the advertiser’s rate of providing quotes to travellers who make enquiries. Other factors include price, property capacity, number of photographs, location, amenities, appearance in search results, page views, and the advertiser’s responsiveness and cancellation rate.
Price low to high / high to low
Orders properties based on either (i) the property’s minimum nightly price, if the traveller has searched without dates, or (ii) the average nightly price for the applicable week of the year, if the traveller has input dates.
Orders properties by total number of reviews attached to the listing (highest to lowest), irrespective of average score. Where there is a listing with the same number of reviews as another (or a listing with no reviews), properties are sorted according to their proximity to the searched location.
“Fantastic cottage in unique, wonderful setting, highly recommended.” Brilliant cottage with all the comforts of home, in our opinion The Bait House occupies the best location in the village of Portpatrick, the views are stunning and all local amenities are only a short distance away on foot.
We will be returning for another visit and have already recommended The Bait House to family and friends.
“A brillinat find!” This cottage was just perfect - so comfortable and well-equipped and near some lovely places for days out. Viv and Andrew are very friendly and helpful, and I felt at home from the moment I walked through the door. Cannot recommend highly enough.
“Screel Lodge” We have been coming to the same lodge for a number of years now and have never yet had one bad word to say. The lodge is situated in a perfect location - scenic, peaceful, surrounded by wildlife and lovely walks. The lodge is perfect for families and has a lovely cosy and homely feeling about it. The lodge has all the amenities you would need for your stay and the open plan kitchen/diner/lounge makes the whole lodge feel very communal. The balcony helps for those who want to use it for wildlife spotting, particularly on an evening, where you can see badgers and fox! We saw deer and red squirrels most mornings. The lodge is a short driving distance from towns such as Dalbeattie, castle Douglas and Kirkcudbright which we enjoyed having a walk around. Bar End pub was lovely for a meal and would go back there again! Overall, another very relaxing family holiday had. Can't wait to return.
“Perfect little getaway” Stayed here for 2 nights in a tour of Scotland, cottage was set in a lovely area with beautiful views. Very clean and cosy little cottage and equipped with everything we needed.
“Great break away” The cabin was perfect size for the 6 of us and equipped with everything you can think of! It’s in a quiet area which was great to just sit outside and relax, also very easy to locate Moffat Manor Country Park. Would definitely stay there again. Only downfall was when it rained the stairs and slabs got slippery and my daughter fell and hurt herself but nothing serious.
“Simply Stunning” Stayed here recently and must say it doesn't disappoint. A very well executed refurbishment providing quality facilities in a stunning location.
Hidden away down a private lane off the historic High St, it overlooks the Marina and has fabulous views up and down the river.
Can't wait to get back.
