Villas in Turkey and Apartments by Holiday Lettings

Why Turkey?

If you’ve a passion for beautiful beach resorts, lush landscapes and captivating ancient ruins, then look no further than Turkey. It's one of the most popular holiday destinations in the world and for very good reason...

East Meets West

A country which combines the cultures of both East and West, Turkey’s very landscape has been sculpted by Greeks, Romans, Byzantine Emperors and the Ottomans over the last several millennia. Here, Middle Eastern and Mediterranean influences blend authentically to form an exciting, vibrant and cosmopolitan country, ideal for travellers with an adventurous streak.

Ancient Wonders

There’s so much to see, do and experience in Turkey, your itinerary will be packed. Walk the historic streets of Istanbul, marvel at the ruins of Ephesus where you’ll find the Temple of Artemis (one of the wonders of the ancient world) or bathe in the crystal blue waters of Antalya, Bodrum and Marmaris.

A Warm Welcome

You can expect plenty of warmth from the weather and the locals, too. Turkey’s people are renowned for being some of the friendliest in Europe, so don’t be surprised if you make friends with a waiter or shop attendant during your travels.

Places to visit in Turkey

Turkish Aegean Coast

This popular area stretches from the north (almost as far as Istanbul) to the bustling resort of Marmaris in the south. Along the breathtaking coastline, you’ll find sleepy fishing villages, luxury resorts (with amenities for travellers of every taste) and the cultural port of Izmir, the country’s third largest city.

Istanbul Province

Divided in two by the Bosphorus Strait, Istanbul Province is half European and half Asian. Travellers will be forgiven for thinking immediately of the province’s capital, but there’s much more to the region than Istanbul. The pretty seaside towns of Ağva, Kilyos and Şile sit along the coast of the Black Sea, the picturesque village of Polonezköy is full of charm and, of course, there’s the Princes’ Islands, a sleepy archipelago in the Sea of Marmara.

If you’re looking for breaktaking landscapes and gorgeous bays, the Turquoise Coast has it all… and then some. This is undoubtedly Turkey at its most natural and most beautiful. From the sweeping sands of Patara and Kaputaş, to the ancient dwellings of Xanthos, Tlos and Arykanda in the hills, the Turquoise Coast is blessed with panoramic vistas that would have pleased the gods.

With over three thousand years of history and culture spread across this transcontinental metropolis, Istanbul is one of the most unique places in Europe, if not the world. From the exotic spice stalls in Grand Bazar, to the medieval splendour of the Galata Tower and Hagia Sophia (once the world’s largest cathedral), it’s an enchanting city full of treasures waiting to be found.

Things to do in Turkey

The Grand Bazar

Like the sound of over five thousand unique stalls crammed into one of the oldest buildings in Istanbul? Then you’ll love it here. You might even pick up a souvenir or two.

Hagia Sophia, Istanbul

This grand medieval cathedral took almost a millennium to build and was the largest of its kind for almost as long. It is (quite literally) a divine place to spend a few hours.

Ancient city of Ephesus

A trip to these imposing remains should definitely be on every history buff’s agenda.

With beautiful bays, stunning sunsets and a medieval castle, it’s no surprise that this city has captivated its visitors for years.

Goreme National Park

An unmissable UNESCO World Heritage Site sculpted by millions of years of volcanic activity and erosion.

By night, walk along this resort’s sweeping harbour. And by day? Soak up the sun on Cleopatra beach.
