Apartments in London and Flats by Holiday Lettings

Why London?

According to Dr Samuel Johnson, “When a man is tired of London, he is tired of life”. 300 years later, and his words still ring true. A thriving historic and multicultural melting pot, England’s capital city lures you in with one world-famous attraction after another. And there are plenty of hidden gems to discover, too.

All The World In One Place

London truly is an international city, thrilling in its cultural diversity. Nowhere is that more evident than in the authentic cuisine available from every corner of the globe. From all-night nosh in Chinatown to top-notch street food in Camden and Borough Markets, it’s a round-the-world trip for your tastebuds.

Landmark Central

Where to start on a sightseeing tour of London? Will it be the imposing Tower of London, the refined Covent Garden, or the vibrant Piccadilly Circus? Or maybe you’re dying to have a nose around Buckingham Palace... One thing’s for sure: from the depths of the London Dungeon to the dizzying heights of The Shard, there’s no shortage of places to add to your itinerary.

The Show Must Go On

London’s famous West End is home to many of the world’s most-loved musicals, including the long-running Les Miserables. The posters, adverts and beautiful theatres of Shaftesbury Avenue create a kaleidoscope that is not to be missed by any visitor to the capital. For more historical drama, see Shakespeare’s works performed at the replica Globe Theatre on the South Bank.

Central London/Zone 1

The London Underground is an experience in itself and such an efficient way to get about the city. Zone 1 encompasses all the must-see attractions: the Houses of Parliament and Big Ben’s iconic tower are just the beginning. London is one of the greenest cities in the world, with peaceful parks to balance the business! You might lose track of time when wandering the paths of Hyde Park and St James’s Park...

East London, England

Relive the excitement of 2012 by exploring the Queen Elizabeth Olympic Park, where you can scale (and slide down!) the UK’s tallest sculpture. Meet the animals of Spitalfields City Farm, sample a curry on the iconic Brick Lane, or discover the city’s chilling history with a visit to Whitechapel, scene of Jack the Ripper’s gruesome murders.

South East London

To the south and east, you’ll discover the world of the Docklands, where London developed its wealth by trading with the world. Explore from London Bridge and Southwark Cathedral to the Royal Observatory and naval buildings in Greenwich Park to get a real sense of this aspect of the city’s history.

Central London/Zone 2

The further out you go, the more affordable London accommodation becomes, so apartment rentals in Zone 2 offer excellent value. While you’re just a short Tube ride away from the main sights, there are always hidden gems to discover: Battersea Park and the maritime delights of Greenwich are just a couple of examples.
