“Dashel Cottage - Excellent” This was 8th visit, all different times of year. Very cosy, clean, comfortable cottage in a tranquil area on a working small holding / farm and central to anything you would wish to do in Dartmoor or South Devon. Nothing is more than an hour away plus many local walks to enjoy. Perfect for us and our two spaniels. Still discovering new walks, picnic areas and pubs. Owners extremely helpful and a very nice couple.

“warm n cosy, clean, friendly hosts and fantastic surroundings” Shorts break during the October Half Term. All the amenites you require for a comfortable and enjoyable stay. Anita and Ned our hosts were very friendly and willing to accommodate any of our needs. My daughters loved leading the ponies and donkey home and enjoyed grooming and feeding Dylan the donkey in his stable. Access for walks on the moors is fantastic. We will return to this wonderful hideaway.

“Perfect for a family get together” The house was just right for our needs as a family. Kitchen was large and well equipped to cook for us all. Geoff left us a mound of lovely bacon and farm made sausages for a fry up. We had a family wedding to attend at Canonteign falls so not too far to travel.There is a room on ground floor for a person with disabilities to use. All bedrooms had ensuite and good supply of hot water and logs for woodburner. An enjoyable weekend was had by all! Felt very friendly and peaceable place

“lovely little house , everything you need or wish is there” The house and garden make you feel at home .everything you can think of is there and more... the garden is little and okay.The house gived me the feeling i was welcome.... everything in the house is well thinking the bleu bathroom with a bath , the contact between russel, nicky and us was warm.. even a nicebottle of red was waiting. the house was clean as freshfalling snow...i have been ina lot ofhouses....this one is the best!

“Excellent for Kids” Stayed for 5 days/4 nights - Jenny and Derek were amazing as they let the kids feed the animals. One tip would be to book ahead for dinner in the local pub on a Fri/Sat night.

“Wonderful, spacious barn in a great location with stunning views” We've stayed in many holiday cottages in Devon and surrounding areas and this one is up there with the best. Really comfortable and very well appointed with enough space, chairs, crockery etc to entertain visiting family for an evening meal. Our dogs loved the big garden and there are plenty of places to walk nearby (including to the local pub!). The housekeeper and owners were very helpful, particularly when we had a slight problem with the hot water. Nothing was too much trouble. The tea and cake on arrival after a long journey was also very welcome!
