What a precious gem. So comfortable and in such beautiful surroundings. We were welcomed with real warmth on a very wet day. Everything had been carefully thought about and was of a very high standard. Our whippet adored the meadow and bounced around with delight. Despite the rain we managed to have a wonderful time and plan to return soon. …
Brynmeini Lake Lodge, Near Crymych, Pembrokeshire. 2 bedrooms. Sleeps 4.
A little piece of paradise!
Can't rate this highly enough. We needed a place to rest and recuperate from our busy lives in the city. Here we found a wonderful warm welcome from Julie and David who left us eggs, milk, chocolates and wine inside our lovely cosy lodge. It was spotlessly clean and had everything we needed for our four night stay. How we wished we had booked for longer! Think it would be lovely to come back in the winter. Can imagine sitting in front of the log fire with snow on the ground outside .The position of the lodge is ideal. We really enjoyed having a bbq and watching all the wildlife.Would definately recommend this to friends and look forward to returning again. Thank you Julie and David. …

Converted Barn In PembrokeshireNational Park
We stayed from 11th August - 25th August 2018. The accommodation is lovely and much better than website pics which will never do it justice. Very hospitable hosts who were a pleasure to talk with and were full of hints and tips about places to visit and where to eat in the area but were also welcomed information on new places they had not tried so as to pass onto future guests. We have stayed at a few cottages on and off in the UK over the years but what was impressive about this one aside from the welcome food was the amount of none food items available (which we replaced) to get you started and ongoing for most of the holiday e.g. K Rolls and dishwasher tablets etc - very attentive and generous hosts.
So many beautiful areas and places to visit including Newport and Poppit Beaches, the lovely town of Cardigan, Cenarth and its wonderful tea room, the steam railway, Colby Woodland gardens near Amroth (NT) and Heatherton Adventure play centre is great for children and adults as an alternative to the usual theme park. Good quality and reasonably priced family pub food can be found at the Ship Inn at Aberporth, where the staff are very friendly too. Abercych has a superb pub called the Nags Head for a special dining experience. Considering the weather wasn't brilliant for our stay we still would have liked to have stayed another week as we liked the accommodation and area so much, and the driving is a pleasure with quiet roads even at peak season. The locals are very friendly and we are planning on booking again next year, and we hope Pembrokeshire stays as it is and never becomes like Cornwall! …
Lovely house in a lovely location - great for all the family
The holiday was a family reunion with people aged from 4 to 74, and Pencwm fit the bill for everyone. We had a great stay and Lorna made us very welcome with thoughtful attention to details such as a welcome pack including local produce, and plenty of wood and coal for cosy fires when needed.. The children loved the freedom to roam the land, play on the swing and feed the donkeys, whilst the grown ups revelled in the peace and quiet.
Pencwm is not very close, but then not very far from anywhere. It is very peaceful, and provides a great location from which to visit the Pembrokeshire coast, local towns such as Narbeth and also Oakwood theme park. …
