“Nice place to get away from the hectic city.” Quiet and secluded it was a good fit for me, a couple, their toddler and two small dogs.
Property its a good size for a small walk in the woods. Storms have pushed the creek away from the back of the house and it's small and not showing any fish, so wasn't able to fish on the property. I'd advise getting your fishing license before you get there.
The house was clean and well kept. The frig had a fair amount of condiments in them, so check the frig before you head to town to buy anything. There were enough pots and pans to cook, but we were glad we brought two cooking knives with us. The gas grill on the deck was OUTSTANDING! I give that grill 5 stars. Quiet with a great view of the stars. We took advantage of the fire pit and picnicked while cooking hot dogs over the open fire. The wifi was intermittent, which can be a good thing if you're looking to truly get away and relax.
“Wonderful” My boyfriend and I stood at the bungalow for 3 days and had a blast. Ella was very sweet and detailed with all the basic info about the cabin. We arrived from the detailed directions she gave us and weren't disappointed. This bungalow was very comfortable, and inviting. My boyfriend and I had some doubts considering my boyfriend is 6'1 and the bungalow looked really small, but he fit in comfortably! I also recommend going through all the pamphlets of activity a Ella has they give you a great idea of what you can do in the area! Thanks for the great stay Ella, my boyfriend sand I will be back!
“Hunter Mountain House” Myself and 7 of my friends stayed at Camille's Hunter Mountain House for a weekend this past summer, and I am happy to say that we had an excellent time. We booked this place last minute, and Camille was easy to get in touch with and easy to work with. She was happy to answer questions about the surrounding area and was quick to provide recommendations on things to do in the area.
The house itself is beautiful. It was clean, well equipped, and large enough to easily sleep the 8 of us. The location of the house is its best asset - its situated on a beautiful piece of land with gorgeous views overlooking the Hunter mountains. There is a large porch on the back of the house complete with seating, tables, and gas grill. From the porch you can walk off into the trees and we had some fun hiking around. We actually spent the majority of our time on the porch and exploring the surrounding land. A few minutes away there is a lake we went swimming in as well.
We had a great time at this house and we plan on returning. Perhaps during the winter this time for some skiing/snowboarding (which is only 5 minutes away). We recommend checking this place out!
