It was agreed beforehand that you would be in the Garden Apartment as the Lookout Suite was already booked when you inquired. Perhaps you forgot about that?
The Garden Apartment does not have any carpets but only rugs which are non-chemically cleaned. Not using bleach based products means that old stains may exist, but they are clean. We only use natural cleaning products, have an organic wild garden and our own UV treated spring water. We aim to provide a healthy natural environment free from allergy triggers but this means the apartment will never smell of aerosol or bleach. I do believe there may have been an excess of leaves on the steps though. The oven was not dirty but the white enamel was discoloured, so we have replaced it. The limescale in the kettle is a bi-product of being in a hard water area... it does not affect ones health.

When booking through Holiday Lettings you must pay upfront. This is normal for a holiday let. We do not see your details until you have paid a deposit. Also we are not a guest house, rather a "Holiday Let" of self contained apartments. Hence the reason we give Lock Box details in our information email. The email also describes the steepness of the driveway and is the reason we have such wonderful views. The house is cleaned to a good standard using non-toxic products to maintain a healthy chemical free environment. The bags in the lean to Conservatory are for the recycling and are not festering as they consist of cardboard/paper products. Nailed down carpets and doors that don't precisely fit their frame are found throughout Hill House. We like it that way as it lends to the character. We do not use toxic chemical cleaners or air fresheners e.t.c and our garden is organic and wild. We have our own UV treated Spring Water too. I will clarify the steepness of the Hill in the description, as it seemed to be a big issue for you.

Thank you for such a lovely review - we are glad you enjoyed your stay. Yes I can understand, to visitors, that Kidwelly may seem a little disappointing. Once a bustling town, it now only has a few shops. It does however have the most amazing castle, beautiful church and Industrial museum. Kidwelly will be celebrating 900 years of history in 2015; there will be plenty of activities going on, including concerts, exhibitions and other events, so if you are thinking of visiting this area it is worth checking the Kidwelly Town website to peruse the programme.
