We are deeply sorry to hear of your experience. We strive to ensure that every single customer enjoys their stay with us.
We always ensure the heating is on when guests arrive however in this instance there was a genuine misunderstanding and miscommunication . I thought my husband had turned it on and he thought I had done it. This was completely our fault and we apologise for that. We did ensure it came on right away as soon as we realised our mistake. We have also amended our information pack at the property to ensure that guests are made aware of how to control the heating via the portable thermostat.
The hot tub is thoroughly cleaned after every stay and serviced on a regular basis by a professional with the proper filter systems in place. We do always ask that guests do not walk barefoot on the garden and then jump straight into the hot tub as this can bring dirty and mud into the water.
The electric problem was a one off and due to a faulty switch. That was replaced at the first available opportunity we had. I can understand your frustration with the ‘tripping’ of the electric but this has now been resolved.
There are temporary cooker shelves in the oven at the moment. We had ordered replacements but unfortunately they did not arrive in time for your stay. These have since been replaced.
Once again I’m very sorry for the problems you experienced during your stay and understand your frustrations. Since the Lodge was built we have had many guests and all have given excellent feedback in our guest book. The customer experience is key to us and we will continue to improve to ensure that instances like this do not happen again.
