“Excellent Apartment” Had a really enjoyable stay at the apartment which has everything you might need. Location was great with some nice walks close by. The welcome pack, and home baked cake, and wine were a really nice touch. Have recommended the apartment to family members, and hope to return in the not too distant future. Owners easy to deal with, and were happy to answer any questions. Thanks very much to Keith & Louise.

“Well-located and well-equipped caravan” This caravan is in a reasonably quiet area of the haven holiday park. It is a great place to stay and is very well equipped. Haggerston Castle is very well located for getting to Holy Island, Bamburgh and the beautiful beaches to the south and also the Northumberland national Park. We even managed a day trip to Edinburgh! You do need to be aware however that its not possible to use any of the park facilities without purchasing a very expensive weekly pass. And I would advise people who book this caravan to take oven gloves and a bath mat!

Hutton Mill
Peaceful location ideal for family/ friends and pet friendly.

Hutton Mill is in an ideal location, very peaceful and secluded with a wide variety of wildlife, but convenient to get to beach ( Cocklawburn) and places of interest. Paxton House 5 mins drive away. The house is large and light and airy, with a well equipped Kitchen Dining Area & Utility Room, Conservatory, plus large lounge., with lots of books and DVDs to use. The 4 bedrooms all en suite (one downstairs) are tastefully decorated and well equipped. There is a large very secure decking ideal for small children, with a Gas BBQ and tables & seating - lovely views over the countryside and garden, ideal to view the wildlife. There is a Games Room which was well equipped. There is plenty of space for everyone to have some peace and quiet if required. Whiteadder Water is 1 minute away from the house, where Otters reside along with a variety of wildlife including Kingfishers, Herons, Sparrow Hawks . Added bonus - Pet Lamb - Spotty lives in field close to the house - and enjoys Digestive Biscuits which caused the children great amusement. Karl the Manager was very welcoming - he was very helpful nothing too much trouble - he also shared his extensive local knowledge re: Wildlife and their locations and places of interest . … see more
Corbett Cottage
Great break away.

We were so looking forward to this holiday and we thoroughly enjoyed ourselves. The cottage itself is in a lovely quiet location. A row of 5 cottages (I think) in amongst farm land and dairy farm in one direction and a small holding with sheep, ducks and horses at the other other end. The cottage itself was very cosy an compact. Quite a steep and narrow staircase to upstairs with 2 bedrooms, each with a lovely view of surrounding fields. The bathroom could be updated but was more then adequate with instructions on how to use the shower. On arrival there was a lovely hamper of bread, eggs, lemon cake, some chocolate and milk in the fridge. There is a lovely little garde, split into 3 sections, we kept the dog in the first section as the the other two I felt wasn't secure enough for our dog. We had a great time exploring the areas, if you like Castles you'll be in heaven. The beaches are amazing. The walks are beautiful. The cottage is located just off the A1 which takes you anywhere you want to go. We really loved Northumberland and will definitely be coming back again. Enjoy. … see more

Simply brilliant, we will be back.

Our thanks to our hosts Keith amd Louise for allowing us the use of their beautiful apartment and the thoughtful gifts of flowers, wine and earl grey tea loaf cake, which was scrummy. The apartment and facilities were fab, with all needs catered for, being a short walk from food shops, takeaways and the main centre of historical Berwick. Secure parking was also a bonus. The view of the dock, harbour and sea beyond from the apartment was always interesting, especially on "soft" rain days. We would highly recommend the apartment. We will definitely be back as so much to do and see and didn't manage to fit in everything we wanted to do in a week. We enjoyed our break enormously, which was only marred by the passing of Her Majesty Queen Elizabeth II. … see more
Linnet Cottage, quiet farm cottage outside Berwick-upon-Tweed, Northumberland
Northumberland is a place to visit…

Stayed at Allerdean only three miles from Berwick-Upon-Tweed. The cottage was ideal for our two dogs that we could walk leisurely around the private lane of the farm. We were lucky to see seven deer, hares and various birds in their fields. The binoculars and scope was ideal to have. Went to Holy Island and seen over a hundred seals from a distance when the tide was well out and they were soaking up the sun and it was a delight to see various birds. The Island varies with the tide so you need to be aware to get your vehicle back to safe ground. Berwick-Upon-Tweed has a lot of history and is a lovely town to visit. Went to Alnwick and Bamburgh Castle that we enjoyed and dogs loved the beaches for walks outside the castles. Coldstream and Cheswick for days out with the dogs. The weather was not too bad for that time of year, had some sun showers but nothing that spoilt are stay. … see more

Such an amazing farm cottage. Everything that could possibly be needed is available at hand. Laura (owner) was absolutely amazing, so friendly and easy to talk to! Cottage was really big, so homely, we have two labradors who absolutely loved the garden and settled very quickly. We also had our gender reveal there and that could not have been more perfect.
