Still Life Barbican Executive
Superb Location, Secure and Fabulous Unit

I stayed at the Barbican Still Life Apartment for a week and a half in April this year with my 20 year old son. We were first timers in London and this was the perfect location for us to do everything we wanted. It was spacious and had all the comforts of home. We were met on time by our wonderful host who spent time showing us all the features of the unit. It is a little hard to find as it is in the corner of a laneway just off the main street and there is practically no parking nearby but we were on foot and there is a Sixt car rental agent across the lane that we hired a car from for a day and it was so easy for pickup and return. Its only a block or so from Barbican Station which allows you to transfer readily and quickly to anywhere you want to go in London, its a block to the nearest Tesco Xpress Store, a short walk (less than ten minutes) to a much bigger Waitrose Supermarket which has a good selection of groceries. Inside the unit it is very quiet and the queen size bed is very comfortable. The bathroom was clean, modern and functional although compact, but most bathrooms in London units are small. It does only accommodate two people as the lounge is not a sofa bed The only improvement for us would have been a king bed that converted to two singles but it is a perfect place for a couple to stay. It has a washer/dryer and dishwasher, wireless internet which was great, TV and a full kitchen with the basic utensils. There are no views as the windows face the void between the buildings but you can open them and get fresh air. There is a lift to the unit as well as stairs so there is access for anyone who my have some restricted mobility but the shower over the bath could be an issue. We loved our stay here and if I was to return to London with my son, partner or friend, I would look this place up first. An unexpected gem.see more
