Casa Sa Vinya Banyalbufar
Best holiday ever

We visited the Villa Casa Sa Vinya in Banyalbufar in the middle of June. What a beautiful place to spend our holiday. The Villa is built into a hill and the view from there is breath taking. It is a bit of a climb to reach it and you can't drive with the car up to it and have to leave it half way up the hill. The road towards the villa is extremely narrow and we struggled to get our Ford Fiesta safely through it. Choose a very small hire car then it will be easier. The villa itself has everything that it needs to make your stay comfortable. The only downside have been the toilets, it wasn't allowed to flush paper and had to use a bin for this. But it wasn't a big deal and we became used to it. The outside of the villa has beautiful flowers and many seating areas and a lovely pool. The pool has been maintained daily, but so early in the morning that we didn't get disturbed. Otherwise we haven't had anyone changing towels or bed sheets, but we didn't care because we found what we needed and did it our selves. The property has a washing machine so it wasn't a problem. The village of Banyalbufar has five restaurants. We ate in four and three of them are amazing with great service and fantastic food. The only restaurant that we didn't like was the '1661', it's a street restaurant and the food was very expensive and the potion tiny. The service was poor and the waiter (owner??) rude. Some of these restaurants have beautiful terraces where you can watch the sunset while you eat. Beautiful!! We wanted to do some walking but it was too hot so we got up at 6am to do the walking before it became hot and we saw beautiful sun rises. It was a amazing place and we enjoyed our stay very much. The only downside have been the mosquitos, even with candles and repellent wristbands we couldn't sit outside in the evenings. My husband has been bitten 65 times! I was concerned about finding the property but texted the owner just after landing. He texted me back to confirm meeting place and met us there at the arranged time. The property is delightful and very comfortable with a superb terrace with magnificent sea views and a barbeque. It was clean and well appointed. the only criticisms I would make are that access to the main bedroom is through the second bedroom and that the property is in a very difficult location to reach by car.
