“Wonderful place for winter vacation” The chalet is perfect and very cozy - it was warm and clean and Deborah is really friendly! Filzmoos is a small and very nice resport and offers perfect opportunities for ski. Within 15-20 min driving you can reach 5-6 other resorts with many slopes. It is worthy staying in Haus Ebner Chalet!
“Fantastic Chalet in picturesque small town in the Austrian Alps” Excellent and very comfortable house in the middle of the Austrian Alps. Very clean, modern and functional chalet with a great view of the picturesque town of Filzmoos. The house is very well equipped with a very complete kitchen and dinner service. The owners are very reliable and manage very well the administration of this property to make your vacation perfect. Located just 70km form beautiful Salzburg. Highly recommendable.
“Can't wait to go back.” Stunning accomadation in a log cabin a real home from home. My partner and I along with my sister, her partner and toddler were lucky enough to discover this gem of a ski cabin in Feb this year. From our first contact with the owner Debbie via email we could not have been better looked after- she did everything she said she would, emailed promptly & sent detailed guest instructions with directions to the chalet & lots of local information. This put our minds at rest especially as this was our first time to this area skiing especially with a 3yr old.
We walked in & the standard of accomadation was incredible with everything that you would want at home - infact it was like being at home but better!!. It was lovely to come back after a day skiing/sledging & be able to relax, have a meal & drink, watch a dvd & go to bed.
We prefer a chalet to a guest house as it is more relaxed & you have loads of space- not limited to a couple of rooms. Filzmoos was fabulous & had something for everyone very safe for children - great sledging, and the uncluttered slopes even down to a nightclub which was open till 4am- never any sign of trouble just people of all ages enjoying themselves. We all had a lovely holiday and will definitely be returning in the near future.
“Awe-inspiring and refreshing family holiday” Our first family trip to Austria in August 2014 and we were not disappointed. The chalet itself is beautiful with plenty of space and it has a lovely welcoming homely feel. The views from the balcony are amazing!
The owners Avril and John really have thought of everything to make the chalet comfortable for their guests. They made the trip so easy with lots of information and great communication before we started our holiday.
The chalet was only two and half hours drive from Munich Airport and provided a great opportunity to take in the grandeur of the mountains on the way in to the stunning Austrian chalet. Haus Kammern is perfectly located to take advantage of the breath taking scenery that the region has to offer. There are so many local attractions which are a short drive away including the majestic Krimml Waterfalls, the Emerald Trail and access to ski lifts to the top of the mountains only 5 minutes drive away! The stunning lakeside town of Zell am See is only 30 minute away and a little further (just over 2 hours) is the historic and beautiful Salzburg - a must if you have seen the Sound of Music!! More locally (5 minutes walk) is Mulbach where there is a bakery and great place to get something to eat and drink called the Batzinger. There is also an outdoor swimming pool with a cafe and restaurant attached with the most picturesque backdrop of the mountains. The restaurants in Mittersil and Bramberg were reasonably priced with very good food with large portions!
We have fallen in love with Haus Kammern, the beautiful mountains and surrounding area and would love to return in the summer or winter to try the skiing here! Overall a really beautiful and convenient place to stay, we had a fantastic holiday and there was lots to do. Highly recommended! Thank you Avril and John!
“Amazing chalet, perfect location, great skiing region, brilliant for large groups!” By far the best chalet or hotel our family have stayed in a for luxury accommodation and also location, both 5 star.
I have been ski-ing twice a year for 17 years and we always try different places however this is the first time we'll be returning to the same place as it was wonderful. All the rooms are spacious and the kids loved playing in the cinema den which has lots of games and space. The upstairs communal areas are really cosy with open fires and beautiful views over the valley.
The owner, Margit was charming, as were the English couple who greeted us at the chalet with local treats and breakfast every morning. Plus they lit the fires for our arrival!
Good idea to hire a car so you can ski other resorts like Maria Alm, Leogang and Zel am see which also has a glacier with guranteed snow. The town is small but very pretty and friendly. Our party had a wonderful time and we'd definitely recommend it, I am back in January next year, can't wait.
