“Our stay in Anglesey” Beautiful house on a magnificent beach. We couldn't of asked for a better position. Our dog loved the beach. The house was so well equipped with all we could possible need. Good local amenities. A fabulous holiday.
“Lovely Clean Modern Apartment” I stayed at this apartment over the bank holiday weekend in August 2011 with two other women. It was an ideal location to explore the Island. The apartment is on a main road but the double glazing keeps the noise of any traffic to a minimum. It was spotlessly clean and the two bedrooms with two bathrooms was ideal for us. The bathrooms are lovely with hot water on demand. It is a short walk downhill to the beach which takes a little longer to walk back up particularly if you visit the Bay Cafe for a lovely meal and a bottle of wine. I would definately recommmend this ground floor apartment in this quiet residential block.
Comfortable, clean and spacious apartment in ideal position for local amenities and for trips around the island.

“Excellent property and location - highly recommended” We stayed at Tan-y-Cytiau Lodge this weekend and it greatly exceeded our expectations. It has a lovely homely feel and is spacious and well equipped. The views are spectacular from most of the rooms and there's plenty of space around the property to sit out or play games, including a deck overlooking the sea.
Inside the sitting room is particularly comfortable and airy, as is the conservatory, and the kitchen and utility rooms are very well equipped - all these overlook the sea. The dining room has a good large table and more cozy feel. Upstairs there are two large bedrooms with sea views - one with a kingsize bed and the other with three singles, and a smaller double room at the back. The upstairs bathroom and downstairs shower room are modern and clean (but note that the bathroom doesn't have a shower or a shower tap on the bath).
The location is within easy walking distance of the RSPB centre and South Stack lighthouse - the latter is well worth a visit but there are a LOT of steps (more than 1500 there and back according to the guide). Lots of other walks and serious climbing opportunities too it seems.
There are several good beaches a short drive away and then of course the wider range of beaches and other attractions on Anglesey and over to Snowdonia.
Finally a mention for Mojo's - an excellent small creperie in Rhosneigr. Well worth a visit - open at lunchtime or, for bookings only, in the evenings.
All in all, Tan-y-Cytiau Lodge is an excellent property in an excellent location - highly recommended.
We loved our stay at the lodge. The living room was large and luxurious (the internet picture does not do it justice) . We loved the sunroom with its views of the coast and occasional RAF activity. Th… More

Fair revue although a little harsh in the "starring". We had problems with our usual cleaner who was unfortunately unable to provide her usually excellent service due to unforeseen circumstances which required her to draft in additional staff who frankly were not of the same quality - we are greatly relieved to report that she is now back, and we are able to provide the normal high standards of cleanliness which we, as owners and frequent users of the property, expect.
having arrived very close to the early hours the owner had left the house's open which saved time, both properties were clean and tidy,( a bit small for the amount of guessed staying but i supposes you… More
“Everything we had hoped for, and more.” We have just spent a very peaceful and relaxing week at Bodfan with our 4 dogs. The owner lived in the property next door and came to introduce herself on our arrival. She offered any help we might need but was not intrusive. The property itself is a beautiful old farmhouse with a large garden. The adjoining paddock could also be used if needed to exercise the dogs but a day on the many beaches soon sorted them out! The farmhouse itself was extremely well stocked with everything you always leave behind. I would say you would definitely need a car to get around as the property is situated in the centre of the island and the nearest beach is probably 20 mins away. We took coal and wood for the woodburner but it was not needed as it was all provided. If you like walking then you could walk forever and not see a soul. We saw dolphins at the top of the island at Amwych which was a bonus. There are several large stores i.e. Morrisons and Asda about 15 mins drive awaybut Holyhead is not somewhere you would want to visit more than once so stock up for the week and enjoy the beautiful surroundings of Bodfan....we did and so did our dogs.

“Super property, lovely location!” Property was ideal for our group, spacious rooms, kitchen well equipped, loved the layout with the lounge upstairs so we could see the sea. Unfortunately the weather wasn't great so only downside was just a washing machine, not a washer drier, we did find it difficult to get things dry when we got wet, and perhaps make it clearer that bedding is supplied but not towels - our previous rental in Cornwall provided towels so I expected towels so we had to buy some but maybe I didn't read the information properly on what was provided. Super location for our dogs, they loved running on the beach. We would definitely come back again!

“Wow wow wow..... amazing!” From the minute you open the front gates your breath is taken away, what a view! We went for a weeks long winter break from work and what a better place to relax. The water in front of the cottage is constantly moving and changing, you could spend all day gazing at it. Watching the water from the cottage you feel like your floating on a boat, just wonderful. We also enjoyed long walks around the island, our favourite walk is between the two bridges. The cottage is very well equipped, spotlessly clean and the owner couldn't be more helpful with recommendations. This is our third visit and there is so much more of the island to see. Wether you want a relaxing cozy winters get away or to sit out in the courtyard on a sunny day this cottage is the perfect place.

Thanks very much for your lovely review and pleased you enjoyed staying at Milverton Cottage and found it the perfect location to explore both Anglesey and the Snowdonia area of Norh Wales. Good to hear that you had lovely weather the whole time you were staying, and were able to sit out in the garden overlooking the Straits, which is a real sun trap, and nowhere nicer, and there's always something interesting to see, whether it be boats, kayaks, rib rides, fishermen, divers, or an enormous amount of different wildlife etc And like most of our guests you hope to come and stay again soon as you would be extremely welcome and we will look forward to it.

Thanks very much for your lovely review and it's always very special to welcome guests back time after time and so pleased you've already booked to come back and stay at Milverton for a 4th time in 2018! Good to hear you all love staying at the cottage and find it all very well equipped because we've always taken on board anything that guests staying there feel we are missing and try and provide that, so hopefully now I think we have probably got everything anyone could possibly need while staying there. And yes agree that the real star of the show is the view, something that I don't think anyone could ever tire of because it's ever changing with always something interesting to look at, either from the comfort of the cottage or when relaxing out in the garden. Will very much look forward to welcoming you back in a years time!

this is the perfect location to do just that .Cobblers Cove had everything we needed for are stay we loved the patio area in the back and the upstairs lounge has a view that is priceless it looks out across the bay from here you can enjoy watching the sun set.
There is a welcome pack of wine and nibbles and a folder with local information this was very helpful for the dog friend restaurant's and beaches.
“Lovely, clean, well equipped cottage” Lovely cottage, great location literally couple of minutes walk from centre of Beaumaris. Exceptionally clean, lovely bedlinen & soft towels. Kitchen very well equipped. Great outdoor area with bbq.
Communication with Julie, the owner, was great, attentive but not intrusive at all.
Could not fault it in any way.
“Beautiful house, peaceful surroundings” We stayed in this beautiful, clean and well furnished bungalow in May. A fantastic place to chill out and enjoy the peace and quiet that the property and surrounding area provide. The property is spacious both inside and outside with a lovely sea view and if fully equipped for a self catering holiday. In walking distance there are 2 beaches and an excellent pub/restaurant.
