Pleasant, comfortable villa but with extra cleaning charge
We spent a pleasant week at Villa Isa in September 2017. The villa is located on the edge of a small urbanisation called Carlos Park. There are no communal facilities but the area is very attractive and ideal for a quiet break. The villa overlooks the road so there is some traffic noise but we didnt find it a problem. The local water park is at the end of the road and the beach at Playa Flamingo is a short walk away.
The villa is generally in very good order and is well equipped. It was also spotlessly clean when we arrived which isnt always the case. We self catered all week and the kitchen though small, is more than upto the task. The lounge area is fine although the settees are past their best. If you need entertainment on holiday you'll need to make your own arrangements as the TV only has a few english news channels. We found the double bed in the master bedroom to be very firm , bordering on the orthepedic. This will suit some more than others.
Outside the covered eating area is great and there is a wind break that can be brought down if needed. The sunbeds however are quite old and we found them uncomfortable.
The only thing that soured our experience was an email that we received from the owner 5 days before we arrived. This stated that we had to contact the cleaner on arrival so we could pay the 40 euro cleaning charge. There is no mention of extra charges in the listing and we were not impressed.
Overall the villa is fine for a week or two in Playa Blanca and is still good value for money. Would we book again - probably not but thats because we generally prefer the Faro Park area. …
