“Simply great” We had a great time and we were so well looked after. The breakfasts were amazing! The house was very clean. We just loved it and would return in the future. It was also very good value.
“An amazing riad!” Dar Patrick was absolutely perfect! Great communication before our stay, even being able to sort out an extra bed at short notice for a 7th guest. The building was beautifully decorated, rooms comfy and the roof terrace was nice and peaceful in the evenings. We organised a taxi with Hassan to collect us from the Supratours bus station, and then he was able to give us some great tips of things to do, how to get around etc. The riad was easy to find, in a nice little neighbourhood and only 15-20mins from the Jemaa el-Fna. Hassan organised some great trips for us too - a 1 day waterfall trip in to the mountains, and then a 2 day trip where we stayed overnight in the desert (which was my highlight of our Morocco trip!). The maid was super friendly and made a huge breakfast spread for us every morning.
We could not recommend this place enough! Would thoroughly recommend if you are a group looking to rent out a whole riad.
“Awesome Riad in the Medina in Marrakech” This is a great Riad in th Medina. It is very reasonably priced, the accommodations are very nice and authentic, the hosts are super friendly and attentive and will meet you with hot mint tea upon arrival. the breakfast is fresh every day and the orange juice is freshly squeezed just for you in the morning. The room was good size with a private bathroom. The Riad was easy to find as it is a block from one of the best know gates ( as there is a large taxi stand there). Walking to the square took us about 15 minutes, or 4-5 minute by taxi for about 30 dirham (less than $3.50) I would definitely recommend this Riad for anyone visiting Marrakech who want to experience a more authentic place to stay. It has 4 guest rooms, so I am sure it can accommodate a bigger group. We had a wonderful stay and wet thank the owners and the hosts very much
“Cosy and conveniently located.” Great atmosphere, well managed, excellent staff. We ate in every night as the ladies' cooking was so good! Lovely weather (sunny, with cool nights) and we really enjoyed our week.
“Home from Home - without the work!!” This was my second visit to Morocco as a solo traveller, and after the blistering heat of Marrakech the sea breezes of Essaouria were a welcome surprise. As was Chez dar Ma... The owner, an artist, has decorated it beautifully using locally sourced materials and artifacts. It was spotlessly clean and Hassan and Halima were a joy, ensuring my stay was a thoroughly relaxing and enjoyable experience. This included taking me to the souk , which is very close and on excursions. I was treated to exceptionally generous breakfasts on the terrace (which is the norm) and fabulous cooked meals in the evenings. Restaurants were recommended but I preferred the personal touch!
I would definately recommend the riad to anyone who asks and hope to return .
