From the owner

Charming stone-built, Breton farmhouse situated in heart of beautiful, tranquil Brittany countryside. Vine-covered thick granite walls make it cool in summer, cosy in winter with its cast iron log-burning stove. The farmhouse has a large gravelled drive, ideal for long summer evenings of Boules and barbecues. The property stands in its own estate of 9 acres with lawns and drifts of summer annual flowers immediately surrounding it. Over the private lane is a meadow, which in turn leads to a woodland glade and trail down to our own private lake with rowing boat. The lake has a small jetty for diving and swimming and we regularly stock it with rainbow trout. Day tickets are available to fish the lake.

There are scores of wonderful trees for climbing and the woods near the lake offer great den-building opportunities.

We grow our own vegetables and we are always happy to share our surplus! Freshly laid eggs from our 6 hens are usually available too.

Our children have all loved learning to ride a bike here on the safe driveway and smooth tarmac lane.

Interaction with guest

We live on-site in a completely separate farmhouse with our family and two friendly dogs. We will usually be here ourselves to welcome guests and be on-hand to offer any assistance that may be necessary but we also completely respect our guests' privacy and will be guided by your needs. If we are away, we will leave the property in the hands of trusted managers (friends!) who will be here to welcome you and assist you. Guests are welcome to roam anywhere they please within the grounds, but the garden immediately around the gite will be entirely for your use only.

How do damage deposits work?

In most cases, you don’t pay a damage deposit up front. Instead, we save your payment details securely and you’re only charged in the event of damage to the property.

Occasionally, you will pay a damage deposit up front as part of the total rental cost. In this case, the owner has 10 days after you check out to report any damage. If they don’t, we’ll return your deposit. If their claim is successful, we’ll deduct the agreed cost and return the remainder.

Go to Manage your holiday booking to cancel your booking. Here you can view your cancellation policy to see if you’ll be refunded.

How do I edit my booking?

You can request to change the dates or number of people on your booking via the Manage your holiday booking page. To change your holiday dates use the Edit booking button. If you need to change the number of guests staying then send James (the owner) a message.

If James (the owner) agrees, they’ll send you a revised quote outlining the changes. You can review and accept/decline this from the Manage your holiday booking page. You’ll have 48 hours to take action before the revised quote expires.
