From the owner

Trulli il Castagno is a traditional Puglian farm in a pristine location surrounded by vineyards, olive trees and Mediterranean scrub. The trulli complex dates back to the early part of the 19th century and has been inherited by our family. The renovation of our farm was truly a labour of love and the results speak volumes. The attention to detail both inside and out are impressive, including all the modern conveniences you could wish for without losing the original rustic charm this property exudes. Truly a very special place where you can enjoy an authentic Puglian holiday!

The farmhouse has been tastefully converted into four independent trullo apartments, each with their own private terrace where you can enjoy the shade. Inthe property there are two trulli apartments have its own entrance, a living room, a kitchenette, one bedrooms, a bathroom with shower and a terrace with table and chairs. There is also a lovely communal outdoor area with garden, barbecue, gazebo, wood oven, washing machine, and so on. The original farmyard at the front of the property is now a children's play area and at the rear of the property there is also a large swimming pool (7 x 13 m) surrounded by cherry trees and shrubs where you can cool down while enjoying wonderful views of the Valle d'Itria.

The house has everything you need for your holiday: a kitchen with all facilities like plates, pots, a coffee machine; living room with television, table with five seats, a collection of English books, local area information , events, and recommendations for restaurants and other shops. There are also maps of the area near the trulli and in two of four apartments of the structure you have a beautiful fireplace that gives a unique atmosphere. The bedrooms have a wardrobes and fantastic view of the area, and the bathroom has a large shower.

Trulli il Castagno offers home-made specialities, like the red wine of Montepulciano and Nero di Troia, Extra Vergine olive oil, taralli, (a regional bagel-like food flavoured with aniseed that is typical to Puglia) and fruit. We can also offer breakfast in the trullo.

    If Giorgio (the owner) agrees, they’ll send you a revised quote outlining the changes. You can review and accept/decline this from the Manage your holiday booking page. You’ll have 48 hours to take action before the revised quote expires.
