Small 3 level house for rent in Calatafimi-Segesta, Sicily. Rent for a few days, a few weeks or a few months. . House has one large foyer with half bath and laundry at street level, 1st floor has a combination sitting and kitchen area. The sofa is futon style and can sleep 2 additional adults but is not recommended for a long stay. 2nd floor has full bedroom with queen bed and modern full bathroom. House has combined heat/air conditioner on both 1st and 2nd floors. A working knowledge of Italian is helpful as renting is a deep immersion experience. There is bus service to the town from the major cities of Palermo and Trapani but renting a car will make life much easier. Within two kilometers of Calatafimi is the famous archaeological park of Segesta containing the best preserved Greek style (4BC) temple in the world. 25 kilometers takes you to the Mediterranean Sea and the coastal towns of Castellamare del Golfo and Scopello. Thirty kilometers takes you to Trapani, world renowned for its coral art. On the mountain top above Trapani is the Medieval town of Erice complete with its castle. Forty kilometers from Calatafimi is the city of Marsala, known for its wine. The capitol of Sicily is Palermo, (60 kilometers) containing many famous fountains, palaces, and churches, five kilometers from Palermo is the mountain town of Monreal with its world famous golden mosaic cathedral. A trip to the eastern side of Sicily takes you to to Syracuse, the home of the Greek scientist and inventor, Archimedes. North of Syracuse is the ancient Roman town of Taromina, now vacation home to the rich and famous from all over Europe. Within the town of Calatafimi itself you can visit museums and the castle Eufemio as well as the "vicolli" dating back to the 12 century.House is within walking distance of everything of interest in the town. I'll be happy to provide full tourist information and maps. It has been said that Sicily is a microcosm of the Mediterranean with influences from the Phonecian, Greek, Roman, Arab, French, and Spanish. If you can only spend a short time in Italy, Sicily has it all. Please be advised that we need at least 7 days advance notice of intent to rent in order for us to prepare the house for occupancy.

How do damage deposits work?
