(We reduced the wall separating the bedroom and living area to open the entire space to the incredible view. Now a 1/2 wall with large built in desk separates the living-sleeping spaces.

While your detached cottage, deck and hot tub are fully private (and screened), you are also invited to enjoy shared amenities on the estate, which include access to gym, koi pond, laundry, extra fridge/freezer, plus separate office work/art space with door. large gas BBQ, beach chairs/umbrella, and more.
PRIVACY AND INTERACTION WITH HOSTS/GUESTS:
Your cottage, deck, hot tub, parking is private, and your stay self-serviced, and self-catered. maintaining cleanliness and sanitation during your stay, including a weekly cleaning. We provide a mid-month professional cleaning.

Simple property courtesy rules to ensure safety, privacy and comfort:
1.) Extend mutual respect for privacy.
2.) Avoid excess noise generally, and especially between 9 p.m. and 9 a.m.
3.) Only persons designated in the original reservation may occupy or visit the premises, unless approved in advance.
4.) Stay smoke-free, pet-free while on premises.
5.) Clean up after yourselves. Keep you rental, furnishings, linens, etc. clean. Host provides mid- and end of month cleans. Guest provides other cleanings and linen/towel chages.

The Neighborhood:
Enjoy multimillion dollar views, open to 270 degree ocean, coastline, and island views and 90 degree mountain views. Tucked atop a hill in the Santa Barbara foothills, near hiking, biking (famous biking Gibraltar Loop starts nearby), and close to botanic and lotusland gardens, historic mission, and adjacent to luxurious Montecito, home of the stars. Downtown Santa Barbara and Montecito are only 5-10 minutes, as is the beach, gardens, dining, theater, shopping and more.
Getting around...
So near, yet in a world apart from the bustling crowds, traffic and noise. A car is very helpful, though Uber and taxis are available. Santa Barbara is accessed by car from freeway 101 north and south, and the property is just off Hwy 192 in Santa Barbara. Amtrak train serves Santa Barbara ( is 10 minutes), as does Santa Barbara Airport (SBA- 15 minutes) and 90 miles from Los Angeles International Airport (LAX- 90+ minutes)
