La Maison du Monde is a typical residence surrounded by a wide expanse of cultivated land, which the current owner has inherited from his dear father Mario.Are very strong, in fact, the bonds that join Michele to this property, loved and cared for over 50 years by his father who, with skilful work, was able to turn it into a green oasis, dominated by plants typical of the Mediterranean: the grapevine and olive trees with their wonderful fruits.The wine and the olive oil completely biological, which we still produce to the property, always preserve the same intense aromas and flavors of the past, as if they were trapped for eternity boundless love for this land.La Maison du Monde is in a location (Ungias - Poneddu Puntet) largely owned by the Nieddu's family , which for generations has passed down the art of cultivating the land.Even today in the market street of the old town of Alghero you can find the products of this fertile area, cultivated by one of the family. The Farmhouse 'La Maison du Monde” is located in the shadow of Olive trees and the scents of the old vineyard , to the back, where we still produce our wine. In our country (about 1 hectare of olive trees and vineyard) there are two independent and private units:

La Maison du Monde" country villa with private pool - "La Dolce Vita" country cottage. Both completely exposed with windows to the south and surrounded by olive trees, citrus trees and flowers, they are unique and enchanting. La Maison du Monde inside is comfortable, spacious and equipped with all comforts. It consists of a dining room with fireplace, a large kitchen, two bathrooms with shower and two bedrooms.

Overall Shabby style prevails, thanks to its pastel colors gives a sense of tranquility to all those who live it. Outside, everything is on hand: a large wooden terrace where you can eat or just relax, a barbeque corner where you can cook delicious dishes of meat, fish and vegetables of the region, and a fresh green grass where you can play or enjoy the generous shadow offered by the trees, a small, but wonderful emerald green pool in which cooling off in the warm days, which since April you can have thanks to the mild climate. La Maison du Monde is the perfect place for couples, families with children and groups of friends who enjoy the privacy and tranquility just few steps from the beautiful sandy beaches and from the down town of Alghero, but at the same time, for people who prefer the originality of the places to the luxury and the 'friendship to the formality.During periods like the end of September and mid-October, the owners organize the grape and olive harvest, involving family, friends and customers. The work taking place just over the weekend, ending with a rich and typical Sardinian lunch with wine tasting and olive oil produced and offered by the owners. Customers are free, however, to choose to participate or to do anything else.

Please do not smoke into the house, you can smoke outside in the country area or veranda. Please, do not make noise cause there is "La Dolce Vita" cottage and other country houses near by and does not make any sense for the context in which you are. Only the childen can do it. Please, respect the place and the house where you are staying...La Maison du Monde is for all... good ones.

La Maison du Monde is a great place to relax with your partner and children, cause you can relax under the veranda, grill fresh fish or meat from Sardinia using the BBQ; lot of space for the children to play around the house; big green grass next to the veranda and wonderful and safe pool infront of the house. In September or October our guests can enjoy to pick the grapes and make wine or olive oil with Michele and Lucia... but just for fan.

    How do damage deposits work?

    In most cases, you don’t pay a damage deposit up front. Instead, we save your payment details securely and you’re only charged in the event of damage to the property.
