Croeso and Welcome to Castle View Cottage!
Castleview is an historic fisherman's cottage in an amazing location overlooking the medieval walls within the World Heritage Town of Conwy.
It has got to be one of the best located properties in the whole of North Wales, and has the unique advantage of a roof terrace overlooking the Castle and river.
You can stroll along ancient cobbled streets lined with places to eat and drink down to the harbour. Conwy is packed with interesting visitor attractions including Plas Mawr, a splendid Elizabethan mansion and Aberconwy House, a 14th Century merchant's house.
Our sunny roof terrace makes the most of the panoramic views of the Castle and Medieval Town. Perfect for some al-fresco dining, it catches the sun for most of the day and is a great vantage point to enjoy the sun setting in the evening. There is also a shared outside space to the rear, which features a decked patio area within a 700 year old Castle Tower and a sitting area outside the kitchen.
Inside, the lounge features a lovely open fire and is decorated to reflect the nautical heritage of this Fisherman's cottage. We have a large sofa and two sitting chairs and the dining table seats four comfortably. For entertainment there is a flat digital screen TV, DVD player, CD player, lovely Roberts Revival Radios and a BOSE soundock system. A selection of DVDs, novels, guide books and board games are provided for guest's use and we have complimentary Google Chromecast for streaming and superfast wi-fi for internet access.
The light and airy kitchen benefits from a breakfast bar and full length feature windows to make the very most of the outlook over the Medieval walls. It is fully equipped with electric fan oven, gas hob, fridge with freezer compartment, toaster, and expresso coffee machine.
Upstairs, the main bedroom features a cast iron double bed with a super comfortable memory foam mattress and offers plenty of storage with a triple wardrobe. The second bedroom has an adult sized bunk bed with limited storage (sorry no wardrobe) and a door leading directly to the roof terrace. There is a newly-fitted shower room with extra wide shower compartment, washbasin and wc.
We welcome families and a travel cot, stair guard and high chair is available, together with a toy box, board games, a small library of family DVD's and plenty of plastic cups, bowls and plates for the little ones.
All heating and utilities are included in the rental cost and everything is set ready for your arrival. Beds are made up with quality 200 count 100% cotton bed linen and comfortable throws. We provide basic essentials for a self-catered holiday including tea, coffee, sugar, washing up liquid, toilet paper, tea towels and dishcloths. Everything is made up ready for your arrival, including a long burning eco-log so you can enjoy a real fire.
To the make the most of your stay we have our own cottage visitor guide with details of our personally recommended restaurants, pubs and places to visit, local walks, biking routes and very best beaches.
And with glorious countryside and beaches all around Castleview Cottage, it makes perfect sense to pack your boots and bikes - we are right the edge of the beautiful Snowdonia National Park!
